  2. Well hopefully in a years time we all will be seeing the new car with dump valve :D
  3. That's all it is the scoop as long as it's from the same year it will fit fine. Not a fan of the large scoops myself but thats me :D I'd be a little bit more inclined to stick with the smaller one too so not to let to much water through but if it's been blanked off it would still work with the bigger scoop fine.
  4. Oh now that I really do like stunning replacement mate. I take my hat off to you sir :) And glad to see you stuck with the Scooby but I can see why you did with that :D
  5. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C For a replica it looks very nice mate. And more importantly it has the Subaru badge thats the main thing :D As for the best club around I know people in many other clubs so won't speak out of turn towards them. But I think we are one of if not the most friendly more relaxed easy going club. But that prize has to go to all the members that have helped make the community what it is :D
  6. Have a few local meet up's set up already but always looking for more people to organise new ones in areas we don't have any. Most local one to you that we have I would say, local maybe a bit of a white lie :D it's a bit of a drive is with Scooby Pete in Surrey. but is a big meet and looks great. Just sorting out event's too for summer Trax, Japfest, 1 and 2 so feel free to have a look in the events page and local meet rooms :)
  7. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C Nice to see a fellow Bugeye :) mind you I can say the same for blobeye's too :D looks like a very nice clean looking car. And please feel free to have a ganders around the forum and join in great bunch of ladies and gentleman, all up for a laugh.
  8. If I knew I was going I would have said I would meet up even if going to Sheffield is out my way :D But anything for the 1st half of this year is going to be last minute unless something happens quicker.
  9. I agree it's the motor trying to move I'd maybe say might need a new motor if it's and internal part thats failed. And without looking I don't know if I could advise how to remove it 2009 is to new for me :) Might give you an idea of what you will have to do in removing it.
  10. To enter Japfest and to display your car you will need to purchase a vehicle pass. This includes entry to the show and costs £20 per car. Each vehicle booked is allowed to bring passengers at no extra cost, up to a maximum of 4 people per vehicle. Think Will need to pay Steve or me and One of us will have to book it all in as a full club, but will double check on that tomorrow . And Boots said something about beer and BBQ I'me sure he did :D
  11. I'm sure you could soon polish that out mate ;)
  12. The PPP really just helps hold the value of the car IMHO, It would cost less to get the same set up really with aftermarket parts. If you wanted to keep it standard the Prodrive I'd say was the better option. But if you are going to play around and tune it I would use the extra £1000 to buy more mods ;)
  13. Castle Combe it's not far from Bristol. Japfest 2 is at Donington Park might set a sign up for that too it's in August
  14. I'd have looked at it as a blessing as long as nobody was hurt anyway :D What car you after next ? And big congratulations to your wife well done her for passing and hope she gets the job she wants soon. Shouldn't take too long I'm sure :D
  15. Right I've just posted that Wiki link in IE and I agree it sucks :D in the top left corner the light switch look symbol I had to click that then paste the link then clicked it back and it worked :( I have no idea why that is :D
  16. No don't think so I always use Chrome anyway I will sign in on I.E and have a look :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru
  17. Sorted the link out for you mate. Not sure why you are have trouble I'm on Windows 8.1 now and works fine for me but I do use Chrome not I.E

  22. By the look's of it we still have some hope These leaked images reportedly show the new Subaru WRX STI, which will make its global debut at the Detroit motor show next week. The model is scheduled to go on sale in North America and key global markets for Subaru in 2015. It will become Subaru's flagship performance car for the US, and is based on the new WRX saloon which was revealed at the LA motor show in November last year. Subaru UK is yet to commit to taking the new WRX in either standard or STI flavour. However, Autocar understands that Subaru's UK importer will bring the STI version only to the UK if it can be sold here for less than £30,000. It is currently in talks with Subaru headuqarters in Japan about making this happen. Subaru has declared the standard WRX as the "the best-handling WRX ever". It is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine, the same unit used in the new Subaru Forester, which produces 264bhp. It is unknown what performance changes Subaru will make to this engine for the STI version, but at least 300bhp is expected for the all-wheel-drive saloon. A new, more aggressive bodywork package is expected for the STI, alongside sports suspension and braking systems. Still, Subarus have never been about outright beauty, so it’s what lies beneath that is most important. Gone is the old 2.5-litre flat-four turbo engine, replaced by a 2-litre unit with the same configuration. It possesses 264bhp and 258lb ft of torque, and drives all four wheels through a standard six-speed manual gearbox or an optional CVT Lineartronic transmission. The latter may appeal in auto-friendly markets such as the US, but surely most drivers committed enough to buy a WRX will also be unwavering stick-shift fans. Expect a 0-60 time of around 5.0sec and a top speed north of 150mph. Figures seem too low for me i'd be thinking the 0-60 would be a lot lower and the BHP be higher myself but I guess it's still all speculation at the min.
  23. The only thing I really don't like about it, and not sure why is that shark fin. They belong on BMW's :D but I'm sure I could live with it. ;)
  24. As you said when I had them there it covered up what felt like most of the cluster to me and never felt easy to look at it was like I had to bob my head down a little bit but I had put them on myself and was closer inwards than they sit. But I didn't like them so now I have 2 holes on my steering wheel cover. and moved them back to the pillar. But I do like the design. And would agree they with what you say even though it's from america they should be designed for the driver to see so would think you would have a problem buying them and fitting them.
