  1. Sounds a bit like the bigends to me mate :(
  2. I've heard people and seen people selling springs that they have got from there so should be good service. And I agree I was always under the impression it's more to to with the torque then BHP with off roading :D
  3. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C And what I like to see another one being saved more so with the classics. You can just up the boost but wouldn't do that myself but depends on mods and service I guess but wouldn't go up by to much. I have a manual boost controller fitted but disconnected for fear of laying about to much :D And you have read right you would need to sort the ECU out before any maps could be flashed onto the car :(
  4. Thanks Tim you're a star. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise ;)
  5. I like the thinking Scottishtaffy. A cattle prod: £50 An electric fence: £120 An obedient wife: Priceless
  6. Sounds good to me I think once someone has tried and tested it makes for a better read up and advice :)
  7. I've been thinking about getting one never had one. So I guess I won't ever miss not having one until I get one :D
  8. About 3 weeks worth and all new members that had signed up :( But way it goes I guess, just a bit annoying for anything that was useful and the new members needing to sign up and repost like yourself.
  9. Thanks for the repost sorry you had to do it again :(
  10. I know Farmpug needed more hight then the springs he had on and was fine just changing it and heard of lots of people doing it state side to great effects and keeping the BHP around the 300 mark. So depends on height, and what sort of off roading you want it for but just a list of one of the chaps lifted fozzie here. Sorry I know it's in dollars but give you an idea of an extreme lift :) 1: Alloy sump guard (easy DIY bolt-on, $350) 2: Transmission cooler (for autos only) (advanced DIY or minor workshop install, $150) 3: breather extensions for gearbox/diff (DIY, cheap) 4: All-terrain tyres (wide price range) 5: Centre diff lock and fan cut-of switches (intermediate DIY, <$10) 6: Strut lift ($500-$800?, int. workshop install) 7: Spring lift ($300, minor workshop install) 8: spotlights 9: Front bar ($2300) 10: Rear bar ($3500) 11: Off-road rims 12: Snorkel
  11. No problem I messaged him and linked him here :)
  12. Mines always hard... Every month -_-
  13. I would message Oilman on here from opie oil's he can give you some great advice. I will do it for you mate might be tomorrow before he replys now though as it's out of hours here.
  14. Could be a few things Pistons might have gone making it knock and smell. But I would say it's been running rich maybe needed mapping or a map sorted if it's been modded. But classic shapes have been known to suffer leaky injector seals that would let fuel into the Oil making it smell. is the knocking really bad, if you could get a video of the sound put on youtube and share it here so we can hear it might be able to narrow it down better. Just hope it's not bigend failure :( But could be a bit of piston slap
  15. Hi Jason welcome to S.O.C Feel free to have a look around the forums and join in. And if you get chance we all love seeing car pictures here :D
  16. Reviews seem ok from what I can see :)
  17. Do you not know a friendly mechanic/MOT guy I know mine should fail as he can't even read mine and it has no cat. But because he's happy everything else is safe he doesn't mind. It's like said he could waste my time making put one on to remove straight after :D
  18. Right should be if memory hasn't got it wrong :D As you look at it from the front of the car, 4 is the one at the back of the engine on the right hand side. Oki found this if it helps :)
  19. It was me that said to check them and the wires for any splits or damage incase it's arcing
  20. I've been getting rid of them ASAP when posted but once it's been posted you get the email. I would say anyone who gets that should check on the forum. before clicking any link's, if the poster has less then 50 posts and looks out of place just report it :D
  21. It does mate lost a fair bit of stuff :(
  22. Yep looks fine to me Adams sorted will check Bips now. Yeah both back :D
  23. Yeah thats fine mate sorry about the inconvenience. If you don't mind be great :)
  24. I had picked up on a lot of Russians coming on and posting links to sale sites and other crap to get movies online. I also noticed I blocked one of them and he some how managed to unban himself some how. Might be a coincidence :( On a + note least someone thought it was worth their time we must be doing something right haha :D
