  1. Aus_Scooby You should stand for British government ;)
  2. Should that picture say Australians eat bird's ;) or is it not a read between the lines sort of thing ;)
  3. I would look at them like you would remove the letter's on the boot. Some heat from a hair dryer some fishing line to cut down then anything from Petrol to WD40, Halfords, Sticky stuff remover. and lot's of elbow grease to remove what is ever left. Don't use anything to abrasive to clean the glue off just a soft fabric cloth with the above. Should remove it :D
  4. Hi mike welcome to S.O.C Sound's like you had got yourself a handful of a car there. But least you are on top of it :) Some pictures would be great and we have a good few people from Scotland on here so please feel free to have a look around :)
  5. I'm a good listener. My Missus is always moaning at me :D
  6. Least you not got a powered by fairydust sticker :D
  7. They are a pain but it's possible to do them from home. I know the pain I hate it when a bulb goes, know what challenge they are to swap :(

  9. I would have said it was standard but can see it's stainless so not sure :)
  10. Very nice thread mate. And look's great mind you I thought that car looked great from the start :D So what is your final BHP goal when complete ? And you had to say VW Golf Miggs will be your best mate now, as he's from the Golf world before seeing sense :D
  11. Thanks will have a look in a few :D
  12. Yep that's a good return better then any van I've driven in fact :D
  13. Nice one mate glad it went in well and pleased to hear it's back on the road. See how many cup's of tea your Missus can drink in an hour might be able to make the shop 40miles away :D
  14. Just in time for the snow ;)
  15. Haha It does sound and looks amazing and I agree £2000 is a lot but let's face it not many people can say they have done that. Some will spend that, I've done it myself and just sat on a hot beach everyday doing nothing :D and to do that in a 11 days sound's like you was using the cars well on the open roads ;). would love to see more video's or pictures. I think that's the only thing that would worry me is the car not making it back. But that's part of the risk and fun I guess. And what a place to get stuck France of all places. Couldn't they just say they was migrants I would have thought they would have let them straight through ;)
  16. Hello mate welcome to S.O.C Please feel free to have a look round and join in on the forums. And if you get chance be nice to see some pictures :D

  19. Nice looking Van's I'm a bit of a transit fan myself :D
  20. Where is the Old Dog anyway not seen him for awhile :D
  21. Oh that will be good if they have done it before. Mean's they are known already to Trading Standards. So I would get as much as you can including the photo on here. the text's from them everything you can think of to throw the book at them. I'd even try going for the final bill you had to pay out because of the work they didn't do and the damage.
  22. I think if they still advertise online and you can get the company's to a small claims court if you want the hassle, you might be able to get some money back. But you would need the evidence to back it. Trading Standards don't do much IMO really but might be able to advice you if you have enough evidence to see if it's worth going through with it, and if you can get a mechanic to go with you who has inspected the work and said it's shocking even better. But as I said before they can just close it down and start again with another name. It's almost made that easy for them to do it that way. And will be back trading without you being able to do a thing :(
  23. I want to get the spray now :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0I0OxVK04Q
  24. Just to top up should be fine without the need to drain it, when I just do a top up I don't really use any brand make just what ever anti freeze is in the garage :D
