  1. You're welcome. I have 3 kids oldest being a teenage girl so nope never got any money :D And my Missus knows better then to get between me and the car ( Quick look over the shoulder ) ;)
  2. Thanks for the tips mate and welcome to S.O.C
  3. Well if you get the pictures mate if you don't mind posting them here so can have a look too :( And I would have a look in the sales section here seen some lovley Classics been posted in there. If I hadn't had some problem with my motor and coming up for a cambelt and clutch change. I'd have been tempted to have had a couple myself :)
  4. Very true mate harsh but a lesson learned I guess. I know when I have bought car's I take them to my mates garage when he's not busy so we can get it up on his ramps so we can have a good look at it as you can't always see the horrors from just laying under it :(
  5. Ouch not good news mate sorry to hear that. I take it it was recent with it still being taxed :( Also hope nobody was hurt too :(
  6. If you are on facebook this is a private group but seen some good parts for sale on here. I've only seen one bloke get banned for selling !Removed!. But you never know I've found it handy https://www.facebook.com/groups/225332954179981/
  7. I would have said the same as Jay in the 1st post :( Is there anyway you can get the parts off the turbo and get the non turbo running again quick so it can be sold as a runner, like how you bought it. And sell the Turbo as spares and repairs. Did you say it was tax and tested the non turbo or was that why you was in a rush to get it fixed, sorry I can't remember. I've sold 2 car's 1 was F@cked and got £480 guy fixed it up and it's now back on the road. He came and collect it in his flat bed the other guy picked up a X-type Jag that had some damage and Petrol pump had stopped working so was a non starter got £950 for that still think it was worth more but just wanted it sold. But anyway going off topic in typical fashion ;) That's what I would look at doing see if you could get a quick turn around and some money back to get another car. Or it's the breaking down route slower but would I think you would make your money back and more eventually. I know neither are ideal :(
  8. I like you nvr2lt2k8 you can read my mind :) I have to ask whats with the name. It's like a brain training game trying to type that 1st thing in the morning ;)
  9. I remember Top Gear liked it too, but said they wasn't allowed to sell one until so many of the Toyota version's had been sold. I bet it's the staff that's been driving them :)
  10. Yep I concur. doesn't look to low just a nice ride hight :)
  11. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C No we're not all Impreza drivers we do have a good range of Forester and Legacy drivers too But no BRZ drivers that have posted anyway. Only person I've spoken to was the Toyota version driver who loved his and it did look and feel very nice when I sat in it but never drove it it was just parked up. So I won't be able to help sorry :( I think Subaru dealers should hire me to test there cars :D
  12. Not a problem mate will email the boss see what we can do for you :D Ok it's been posted for you. https://www.facebook.com/SubaruOwners?hc_location=stream
  13. Once you have a meet date sorted we can advertise it on Facebook too for you guys hosting the local meet up's :D
  14. Hi mate very nice looking too I can see why you want to buy it back :) Just hope it's still looks that good, good news is it's still on the roads. I can see if Steve will be willing to post something on our Facebook wall for you too if that would be of any help :)
  15. Tough one. Yes they are better built and have more power it seems over the UK car's. The only reason I can give for this is they don't meet what our stinking government and the EU want with emissions and so on. Or there is the other theory That they just want to keep the best for them self's. So who know's why really, I just know that it's been the same for years and years, and not just Subaru. Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, and any other company's have been doing it :(
  16. Great post and hopefully some local people will step forward and introduce them self's. Don't be shy we don't bite unless asked too :D
  17. Very nice looking car mate I almost feel your pain :( Best of luck with the sale I'm sure it wont take long. And hope it's someone who can look after it. And come here to keep us updated :D
  18. Added another picture. Don't worry about it I'm sure when others see the light and join it that will take place a lot :D
  19. After driving the Blobeye round today and getting back in my Bugeye straight after I know the Bugeye needs a new clutch. But at least it's the one car :D
  20. That's fine mate and not a problem I would maybe post the link to it might get some more interest and saves posting pictures up :D
  21. That's what I would do and think it's your best options :)
  22. To be fair I don't think my sea legs would be any good I remember watching my grandfathers fishing video's when he was out in the north sea that was enough to put me off :D And will see if we can get something sorted for you ;) and hope the !Removed! kissing is going well :D
  23. STI is the better engine, but don't want to take anything away from the WRX they are just as fun but can't get as much power from it if you want to push past the 350/360 at most from a WRX. With the STI you can go lot's more if you wanted to. That's it in a nutshell, I'm driving the WRX blobeye around at the minute as my bugeye is out of action until later :( nice car to drive. Sti comes with Brembo brakes 6 speed gear box STI spoiler better engine Just some parts the STI has that is better not including better suspension and other thing's. One of my WRX's I've taken it as far as I can without spending stupid money that would be cheaper to buy an STI and start again. But I have had it to long and done to much to want to sell it now and love driving it still. Only thing I might sell her for in the future is a hawkeye but again would be happy with WRX again, but would look at the STI more when I look at changing but I doubt I would ever push it past the 350BHP still with fuel costs.
  24. Ohhhh sounds like an awsome job where do I sign up :D Do you mean for the regional meet's ? I'm sure if there is enough interest for it we can get that sorted out. We do have enough people here from Scotland to make it work :D
