Looks like compo is coming but at what value no one knows To me I just want a good price px for a newer model , reading up looks like they need car for a few days for new injectors / ecu and maybe cat

Injectors are the ones you already have mate , what's the pump look like ? Might be a updated one ? Prob about 3/400 then mapping Turbo can be a pig , take it you got exhaust too ?

Sorry to hear it rik, the law is the law end of the day That's why there are people out there offer warranty and inspection services , for about 300 quid they go over it with a toothcomb and give you a report on the car Put the shoe on the other foot tho , say I purchased the car from your son ragged the **** out of it on the way home and blew the engine up .... Then come knocking on the door wanting a refund ?

If it had been siting a while the oil smell is kinda normal If you start getting smoke it's the rocker cover gaskets -
