I am selling my Legacy 2.5 Estate due to a change of plan. I have owned it since Feb 2022 at about 50,000 and it had one family ownership up to then, it has working aircon, twin sunshine roofs, cruise control etc (as a run out model it had all the bells & whistles) two keys, all radio & alarm codes. Original tape AND Cassette radio...! , Good news Mileage 73326 Ties in with MOTs. MOT to 8 Nov 2025 lots of invoices for full service incl front /rear pads, cam belt, front discs when I got it. Since then Centre & rea\r exhaust sections new Vector 4seasons at 56500. sills welded for MOT Dec 22. Rear discs etc 57811 Feb 2023. |Service & MOT@ 62469 service & MOT 70355 with new radiator! Runs really well & was my daily driver until March 2025 with no intention to change it. Taken to Germany in 2024 with no problems, cruised on the Autobahn at whatever speed was legal! or at what you could afford to pay for fuel! So why is it for sale? Bad News. I had a "bit of a moment" in my drive (don't ask) that left the car " cosmetically challenged!" This means in particular that the rear tailgate window is no more and the tailgate is dented, but opens/closes ok, but the reversing light lenses are broken ( they are in the fancy red plastic panel that runs across the hatch) Good news is that I have a replacement bare hatch with window to replace the damaged one. the front bumper needs some attention with a heat gun to reshape it. It had been my plan to fix up the hatch & tidy up the front so that I could give the car to my Grandson when he comes back from New Zealand ( supposed to be this September, but he has got a contract to work there & is showing no sign of coming back). As I have too many Classic cars and a 12 year old Forester (bought as a new daily driver) the Leggy has to go, To be sold as seen and can be driven away if you tax & insure it, only things not working is the reversing lights (may work with new bulbs, I will check) Great fixer up project. Make me an offer in four figures ASAP. I live near Stratford upon Avon No time wasters please. I have an erratic bullseye on my O/S headlight (2.0l Petrol estate auto) Does anyone have a working unit for sale? It could just be the Ballast unit (igniter?) that I need? David Harrison

I have got one key that now works everything properly! BUT I still don't know how to Pair my other two keys! I dont want to fiddle about in case I lose it all again!

Thanks Chris... I will have a look when I can...more pressing is trying to get the keys to talk to the immobiliser. Have to use the security pad number every time at the moment! See other long post/rant

MY 2008 Legacy has these bullseye LED (?) lamps. Apparently there is a Power Pack(?) for them Apparently mine has got wet in the past & works when it thinks it will...Maybe it will work in the summer! Is there anyone here who understands the set up is on these lights? Or who can explain them in layman's terms?...It surely cannot be necessary to spend SO much to make a Bl###dy Headlamp work. I have a friend who rebuilds huge pre-war lamps and they are cheap in comparison. Bah Humbug! Progress or what?

Update! The fobs were weak, but ok. New batteries in now. I found the code panel and by inputting the code I alarmed the car so when I got in with the key the alarm went off! Not possible to silence it with the fob button, but reentering the code did the trick. It needed ANOTHER entry of the code and....IT STARTED. So is drivable, if a bit cack handed! The next trick will be to get the immobiliser to recognise the key fob...surely this HAS to be possible? Pairing? HOW?

Situation : Car was working perfectly on everyday key. With nothing to do I thought I would check all my keys (3 total) worked...big mistake! Went through a sequence of testing the other keys to check remote locking /starting. Both were unhappy about remote locking, and starting the car after 30 seconds Both would start the car within 30 seconds. Then the S##t stared. None of the keys would work the remote locking nor start the car before or after 30 seconds! All the keys will turn on the ignition, but not turn the starter, not even pressing the button. Lots of relays clicking & buzzing when ignition switched off All work the central locking on the lock I tried the old trick of disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes...brief bleep from the alarm when reconnecting, but same problem. Car is a bit unusual It was an emergency vehicle in Jersey & was fitted with Blues & twos, computer cabling ...even Fridges! All sadly removed! Alarm I believe is a Sigma (importer fitted) and I can find no sign of the code panel! I have the code numbers. Local indy couldn't find the panel either! Sod it. I will go to Timpsons and see if the keys are putting out a signal. Oh, new batteries ordered, not yet arrived...but one was working fine My trying keys with (probably)failed batteries has upset the system somehow. Anyone got any sensible ideas?

I have a pair of Legacy wagons (2003 one of the last Gen 3 2.5 (54000miles . and a 2008 Gen4 2.0 Both Automatics 70,000miles) Previously I had 3.0 Spec B & RN when I wasn't buying the petrol!
