  1. thanks bud, will get some pics up as soon as its fitted :)
  2. So I was looking for some new lightbulbs, mine are ok just fancy something brighter. And a mate suggested something like this Would anybody recommend for or against this? I'm guessing they are not road legal? thanks ;)
  3. I just filled up with Shell Vpower You get either 2 points per litre of Vpower or 1 point per litre of normal fuel. I got 50bonus points for filling up with Vpower. The rewards come through quarterly, for each 500 points you get a £2.50 fuel voucher. Pretty fair i think :)
  4. thanks, just waiting for my missus uncle to sort it out for me :) Hopefully this time next week it will be fitted. :)
  5. so, I thought i'd post some "before" pics.
  6. welcome to the forums dude :)
  7. looking good mate :) makes me wanna buy something :(
  8. yeah I've let them know. Glad to hear they have a good reputation. Will be a bit of trip down there, but I think it will be worth it. Will be useful to speak to some Scooby gurus rather than the "normal" mechanics from my usual garage. Whilst they know their stuff, no doubt these guys have greater experience and knowledge when working with scoobs.
  9. Glad i joined this forum, I think I'll take mine here to get my discs, pads and brake lines fitted. I tend to use a decent garage up here, but I don't quite trust them working on my scooby doing jobs other than a service or mot. Glad to hear its near meadow hall, will work as a good distraction for the missus.
  10. well I don't know a great deal about engines (PC's are my thing) but that car looks very very nice.
  11. lol hahah I'm not quite ready for a jacket... ***googles "Subaru jackets"
  12. I spent most of last night watching the neighbours bins. Buggers left them sat in the street -.-
  13. Well, I sent black diamond an email, just asking if they could confirm a few part numbers would fit my scooby. Got a very pleasant reply, the guy gave me the part numbers for all the discs and pads that will fit my scooby. Pretty decent of them. :) Just waiting for a further reply, see if they can do me any brake lines. I can help but feel like my scooby should be blue though... haha
  14. Thanks Jay, will take that into account. The Black Diamond discs seem to be priced quite well. Will have a look to see if i can find some for my model.
  15. ooohhh, that does sound nice :) I guess its worth the extra few pence per litre then.
  16. In that case, I will have to try the V Power fuel. Should I expect a few extra mpg out of it?
  17. oh, yeah I'd like a set of the turbogrooves, but again very expensive. :( Yeah they still do the pads, i think its standard, then greens, then reds, then yellows. I'm defo fancying the red ones, I read they produce less brake dust. Which is always a winner.
  18. thanks stanton will check that site out. So, I've pretty much decided on either EBC standard discs or Black Diamond 6 or 12 grooved discs along with EBC red stuff pads. - Are red stuff pads ok with black diamond discs btw? IO heard they can damage some other disc brands? I would like the EBC ultimax discs but at 200 a set, its far too much for me. :( Should I go for standard discs or grooved?
  19. So guys, As I've recently got my scooby. I've not yet had the joy of filling it up. So, what fuel gives you the best MPG? I'm getting 29ish at the moment, but i have no idea what fuel is in there. Had a full tank when I bought it.
  20. oh, kinda obvious really. On my halfords list... got a 100 quid in vouchers to blow there :)
  21. well, my old car was on its last legs (long story)... so spoke to a family member who buys cat D write offs, then repairs them up and sells them on, a week or so later he bought a legacy. The second I saw it, I knew it was the car for me! I bought it off him for a very good price :)
  22. thanks for the link, I sent them a message just to confirm compatibility. what is 5.1 fluid btw? :)
  23. lol, well i can either get some mintex front and rear discs and pads, for about 130 quid on ebay. Or ebc front and rear discs and redstuff pads for about 300 quid lol. quite a price difference.
