  1. Glad i joined this forum, I think I'll take mine here to get my discs, pads and brake lines fitted. I tend to use a decent garage up here, but I don't quite trust them working on my scooby doing jobs other than a service or mot. Glad to hear its near meadow hall, will work as a good distraction for the missus.
  2. well I don't know a great deal about engines (PC's are my thing) but that car looks very very nice.
  3. lol hahah I'm not quite ready for a jacket... ***googles "Subaru jackets"
  4. I spent most of last night watching the neighbours bins. Buggers left them sat in the street -.-
  5. Well, I sent black diamond an email, just asking if they could confirm a few part numbers would fit my scooby. Got a very pleasant reply, the guy gave me the part numbers for all the discs and pads that will fit my scooby. Pretty decent of them. :) Just waiting for a further reply, see if they can do me any brake lines. I can help but feel like my scooby should be blue though... haha
  6. Thanks Jay, will take that into account. The Black Diamond discs seem to be priced quite well. Will have a look to see if i can find some for my model.
  7. ooohhh, that does sound nice :) I guess its worth the extra few pence per litre then.
  8. In that case, I will have to try the V Power fuel. Should I expect a few extra mpg out of it?
  9. oh, yeah I'd like a set of the turbogrooves, but again very expensive. :( Yeah they still do the pads, i think its standard, then greens, then reds, then yellows. I'm defo fancying the red ones, I read they produce less brake dust. Which is always a winner.
  10. thanks stanton will check that site out. So, I've pretty much decided on either EBC standard discs or Black Diamond 6 or 12 grooved discs along with EBC red stuff pads. - Are red stuff pads ok with black diamond discs btw? IO heard they can damage some other disc brands? I would like the EBC ultimax discs but at 200 a set, its far too much for me. :( Should I go for standard discs or grooved?
  11. So guys, As I've recently got my scooby. I've not yet had the joy of filling it up. So, what fuel gives you the best MPG? I'm getting 29ish at the moment, but i have no idea what fuel is in there. Had a full tank when I bought it.
  12. oh, kinda obvious really. On my halfords list... got a 100 quid in vouchers to blow there :)
  13. well, my old car was on its last legs (long story)... so spoke to a family member who buys cat D write offs, then repairs them up and sells them on, a week or so later he bought a legacy. The second I saw it, I knew it was the car for me! I bought it off him for a very good price :)
  14. thanks for the link, I sent them a message just to confirm compatibility. what is 5.1 fluid btw? :)
  15. lol, well i can either get some mintex front and rear discs and pads, for about 130 quid on ebay. Or ebc front and rear discs and redstuff pads for about 300 quid lol. quite a price difference.
  16. thanks Pete, i have been looking at EBC, although that site doesn't seem to list my exact model Also is there much difference between the standard ebc discs and the turbo grooved versions? Are Mintex discs and pads any good?
  17. so, I'm looking to get some new discs and pads for my legacy. I did look at MTEC discs, although, a quick google shows that feedback seems to be hit and miss, so I'll most likely avoid them. Any other decent brands anyone would recommend? or should, I just get normal stock discs with good pads? Any ideas gents?
  18. got the spoiler today, will get some pics up when its fitted :)
  19. yeah that makes sense Jay. What kinda brands should I look at?
  20. lol, you guys are going to get fed up with me asking questions... but as Jay said i could focus on the brake. I had a look around, not really sure what i'm looking for though hahah. I came across a brand called MTEC. No idea if they are any good, but would something like these be suitable. which leads to the question of which style. Drilled Drilled and grooved Grooved Dimpled and grooved money isnt a major concern as i got the car for a banging price, so don't mind paying for decent brakes.
  21. lol, ok, before and after shots... I got my car tunes sorted btw.... clicky lol, hahha sounds much better in the car though... honest.
  22. thanks gents, will get some pics up once i've got the spoiler on. :)
  23. oh yeah i thought about window tints. but i have no idea what clear indicators side repeaters are though hhaa
  24. yeah have to admit scoobys are great. Not sure what else I can add once I've added the spoiler. Any ideas chaps?
  25. Just ordered myself a legacy spoiler on ebay :) How exciting is this car stuff? I've been driving for nearly 10 years, and never really bothered improving/looking after my cars. But since getting this scooby, I've spent a wedge on cleaning products and now a spoiler. hmm, whats next? ;) ps don't tell the missus... oh, the spoiler is the same as this guys...
