your right, there is differences between cars I have no judder thank god but 1st to 2nd is deffo the worst issue I have with the car everything else I am loving :-)
-
that's some great tyre life there :-) should you not be changing all 4 at the same time? I thought there was a tolerance they had to be within

Bit clunky, mine feels more like the syncro is bust I even questioned it with subaru and was told that's normal 😢 Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

quick update on my xv had now 2 years, it's just had its first MOT with no issues at all I still love driving the car and it's never missed a beat, it has been great in the bad conditions (heavy rain and snow) and with the new Nokian Weatherproof tyres I have not had any issues and the car has felt very secure and planted on the road apart from when I looked in the rear view mirror the other snowy day and saw an old man in a 64 plate Range rover coming side words towards the back of my car (scary moment for sure) luckily he got it up the banking and missed me. I totally agree with kvz2000 about the bad gear change especially 1st to 2nd shocking that said that is the only fault and point about the xv I dislike I would deffo consider the auto next time.

mine has done 24K 2013 reg with no oil issues at all either

Sorry for late reply but yes just plug and play ☺ Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Hi Dogconker this is the exact same as I got but from a different supplier ( guy I used has no more stock ) ebay item 181975455661 they are very small and neat so easy to fit and hide and for a cheap upgrade work very well :-)
-
yep the rear lights and spoiler upgrade were the best bits :-) still don't think you can get an auto gear box in the diesel which I think would be also nice for a future upgrade
-
yes I found the same but found them poor when stopping in the snow and ice, so hoping these will be a better all round tyre in them conditions as they are rated better for that. so far I am finding them very good especially in the wet conditions time will tell :-)

Spy shots haha well not really but when I was at my local dealers sorting my 4 wheel alignment issue a transporter arrived with some new cars on on it was a new XV diesel, so I bagged a couple of pics :-) I have seen the new spec on other forums but not in the flesh bigger better spoiler new wheel design front bumper / spot light design new grill thoughts??

So back in December I knotted my front tyres were scrubbing on the outside edges ( not good ) as the tyres were slightly more worn overall on the front and with winter coming I decided to swap front to rear anyway ( 23K on the clock ) now xmas is out the way I booked the car in at my local Subaru dealer for a full 4 wheel alignment and check up arrived at garage at 8.30am, 1hour 30 mins later service manager came over and told me sorry for the delay but its all out of alignment front and back and all needs adjustment hence the delay in time should be finished in 15 mins wow how can that be? I don't go off roading , I am slow over bumps avoid pot holes very strange? I asked could that be a bad setup from factory I asked he said he had no answers but it was all out of sink he did say its not massively, massively out but it all needs adjustments front and back I have read on a few other forums of others have tracking and alignment issues and some from new too so after all that and my first MOT due in March I have the car fully set up correctly and some new Nokian Weatherproof tyres fitted
-
After my 4 wheel alignment ( another post ) I have also had some new Nokian Weatherproof tyres fitted to my xv yes they do look good on the car but very early days so will keep this post updated :-) with how they get on shame there is no real bad weather listed for this area but it's only January so there is time :-)

Ok so after my last topic about upgrading my day running lights I have decided to upgrade the driving lights as I found them to be quite poor. I looked at some led type bulbs but I found after installing them, they were very bright to look at but did not put much light on the road so not much use I then looked at putting in a xenon bulb as these kits are cheap now a days and I have used them before on other cars after installing them I could see how bright they were especially just in front of me and also a good light at the sides my headlights in the xv are xenon so I installed a 6000k kit which gives a little more blue tint which I find better for picking out objects better these have now been in for a week and I can say they are a much better light now giving much more light on open dark roads and light up the sides loads better but do not dazzle oncoming traffic these are not the best pictures in the world but you get the idea :-)
-
they are Genuine xv wheels and Yokohama G95A tyres £250 is a little bit £200 per
-
is anyone else interested? I was thinking £250 per wheel and tyre + delivery ? need to fined home for all 3 of them pics to follow if anyone wants them
-
well have to say I am still loving my xv great to drive and big enough for what I need. getting good fuel mpg so happy have to say after all the weather we have had of late, the car has never missed a beat. some big puddles and heavy rain journeys and the car was well planted on the road never felt unstable or light. even in the snow car has been good ( not that deep though but some big hills ) it's deffo a useable AWD system as apposed to some lets say some look great but cant back it up cars lol
-
this is sounding good news for these tyres on the xv looking forward to the snow/ice update :-)
-
Very interested to see how you get on with these These would and probably will be my next choice of tyre for my xv too At the moment I still have 4-5mm left These are getting some great reviews Keep us posted :-) Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Hi all just gauging interest when I got my car it had no spare wheel only the tyre gunk I managed to source a full set off genuine wheels and tyres so I had a proper spare at the time I decided to keep all 4 wheels in case I wanted to put a full set of winter tyres on, but after last winter finding out how good the car was on standard tyres I might let 3 of the them go to new homes would anyone be interested ?? dug
