  1. nice one, glad your sorted :-)
  2. I have seen a few reviews on the yoko's and they do get great reviews hopefully RichieT will back it up :D :D
  3. hi RichieT great choice or car there lol that one of the reasons I got this car, I have started walking and hiking this year and this deffo looked the best choice of car with Subaru's record also looking forward to some snow to play in haha video of xv in the snow would be great and a quick review of how it performed. you on standard tyres or upgraded to winter ones? you will probably get snow up there before us down here in Yorkshire...
  4. agreed spare wheel is a must... at this point in time I am going to keep the full spare set, it gives me the spare I need also when my tyres are done a full new set go at also it gives me the option if these tyres are not good in winter months I can put a full set of winter tyres on if they are good I might split up and sell next year..
  5. the other problem is if you use gunk in tyre then I am led to believe you can't get it repaired
  6. not too bad to be honest
  7. welcome topmarque :-) I was lucky enough to find a braker's yard that had got a water damaged xv in and managed to do a deal on the wheels so I have a full spare set of which one is in the boot as spare wheel. the problem is that if you empty all the boot out the wheel well is not designed for a full size wheel and tyre so I just put it in the boot. you loose a lot of space that way but at least I have a spare wheel and not a tin of gunk. after a couple of weeks it started doing my head in so I had a re-think I thought as I don't use the boot that often, I would make a false floor, at least that way the wheel would be hid and I would have a flat floor to put things on kind a works fine for me.
  8. the spare wheel and other bits are crazy money when I looked I got quoted £470 lucky for me I am now sorted out I can't believe they put a tin of gunk in a car that's designed to go off road crazy..
  9. looking forward to some snow too :-) but nothing forecast boo hoo looking to see how good the car is

    XV video

it was Russia. This was the footage from suba-xv.ru forum's road trip from Moscow to Altai republic. Ten cars, several thousand kilometers in 14 days. Here are some photos: https://plus.google.com/photos/+SubaXV/albums/6039894985584331921 that looked great :)

    How Many XV's

how old is too old?? I am 50 in 2 months time, it for the love of cars we meet up. depending who goes and what happens to how good or bad it is. I used to help out on another forum ( different make o car ) and we had some great meets normally a drive somewhere and then food and chat or just a day out..

    XV video

Don't know if this has been spotted nice XV road movie about 40 mins long but well worth a watch :) real nice shots and great scenery https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=263gkvdvquE
  15. I use shell too :) I also have the boot protector on, it was fitted when I got the car also got full spare wheel now :)
  16. what do you put in? normally
  17. what's the rear number guard? I wanted the front and back silver bumper trays but at £180 a go I can't justify that sort of money crazy
  18. Just a though, how many XV's are in the club now? it's still a quiet ( exclusive ) place here is there ever a meet?
  19. thanks for that, I thought about giving that a go next fill up, will stick to normal diesel then :P
  20. would like the rear spoiler on my car :D but like most extras for our car, it will be way to expensive I wish Subaru would make the extra bits affordable ..
  21. wow Dogconker - intense thought lol so glad I made the decision to get the XV still loving it just to add my m8 has the new Nissan and he said he can't wait to get rid, so common and what's more nothing works properly he said all gadgets and starting to fail on a car that's 6 months old
  22. thanks Gambit might just order some anyway :)
  23. How about £1 off again for us new members ?? think a couple of these would look well smart on my new car cheeky sod I know, but worth a go :P :P
  24. Nice vid :) I don't drive economical all the time, but it's nice to know I can get 50+ mpg if I do :P I love the way the car feels so solid and stable on the road like I said I am loving this car so far and think I will enjoy owning it if I had one gripe it would be the gearbox from 1st to 2nd is very clunky and not a smooth change at all strange as rest are quite good. as I have started walking now I am happy I can go off the road with no issues into car parks or down tracks but I think I might look into getting a sump guard fitted for some protection my other issue is having no spare wheel? I can't believe this for this type of car, I mean a tube of gunk is very bad and is no good apart from a small puncture. as the car is so rare I guess you can't find one on ebay or alike will have to think of something though
  25. lets see the video Dogconker :-) I understand what you are saying about the fuel, that said my car was only used by the garage owner, that was another reason for getting this car. will the fuel change over time to how I drive the car?
