  1. What colour and how much for the flaps Matt?
  2. I'm not sure if I want all black out. So unsure about a splash of colour. I've got a mate who suggested some clear lacquer with a bit if black in for tinting the lights a bit. My mate has a black c class merc with gloss black wheels which does look pretty nice, quite drug dealer looking though.
  3. I've got a black hawkeye. I'm wanting to fit some flaps to it. It's currently on 16" but I'm shortly getting some 17"a and probably going to lower it a little. Windows are being tinted on Monday. As it's going to be a very black looking car, I was thinking about maybe getting a different colour door the mudflaps. I was thinking maybe red? I hoping to get my brakes all painted up red as well. Do you think this would look tacky and ****? Any other ideas and opinions welcome. I was going to order from scoobyworld. Also front grills. I want to get a lower one for the radiator hole. I'm not sure if I should go black like the stock ones, or go for the chrome/steel one and replace the upper ones for similar? The tax man send me a cheque for the best part of a grand so wanted to get some nice little pieces for the car. Thanks. Tim
  4. One of my favourite cars my dad had when I was a little one was an accord. Loads of kit and just went on and on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I filled her up with a tank of 99 from Tesco. She how she gets on with that. Orange light had just come on and only managed to get 48 litres in it. Can't believe the orange lights either 2 or 12 litres. No idea how big the tank is :p Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks guys. Might just leave it then!
  7. My brake fluid is above the max level. Probably about an 1-1.5 inches above it. Am I safe in just getting some fluid out. Or do I need to bleed and refill the system? Thanks.
  8. Don't the 2.0 have an ej20 in them? Pretty sure mine does.
  9. Yeah I want to lower it. It's on 16's right now but considering getting some 17" to fill the arches a bit more. Just don't want to end up paying a fortune on tyres. Need to see what the price difference is between the different sizes. If it's not much I'll get some. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I've also got a 2.0 r sport, what's the best way to make it sound a bit more sporty? I'm maiy doing cosmetic things but wouldn't mind it sounding a bit nicer. I have noticed the exhaust on it right now has STI stamped into the metal on the side. Is that likely to be just trim or had someone at some stage put a different back box on? Sorry for the thread hijack :p
  11. Got it booked in to have it's windows tinted :) Can't wait! I did also get a acknowledgment wave from 2 other scoobies I saw today when I went for a short drive in the sun Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I had 200 showing at the half tank mark. Filled it up again though. The one time I have got the petrol low I thought my light was broken. As it didn't turn on till the gauge said nothing left Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I'm a photographer. Done quite a few weddings and special occasions if that's any help
  14. Are the first lights you linked to a straight swap out for the hawkeye rears?
  15. I had something similar on a different car. Was a bit if a dodgy switch making and breaking contact lots when driving from vibrations. The alarm does make a bleep to alert you that a circuit has been triggered when unlocking, or if it's been set to bleep on lock/unlock. If it only makes the bleep when unlocking id give the switches a clean and inspection.
  16. Gaulson, yeah i did give them a little lesson. Wasn't as bad as I thought. They are going to wait until after Thursday when the new golf arrives. Apparently the Scooby is a bit "twitchy and sharp" for them. I put this down to sporty and precise :p
  17. I gave them a lift over mine to fix a laptop for them. So they're all ready here and know it's drivable haha :( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I'm about to give a friend a driving lesson I offered last year. When I owned a diesel focus :( is it advisable to give it a ten min drive to warm everything up before letting some noobie drive it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I've not got it as low for the orange light to come on yet. Those miles are including some progressive/spirted drives Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I drive mine daily. It's a 2.0r sport hawkeye so no turbo. I was getting 280ish out if a tank of regular, but am getting more miles out of higher octane fuel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I change the cabin air filter. It well filthy dirty. And changed my number plate bulbs for some bright white LED ones. Also tried to find somewhere that sells single LEDs so I can change the blown one in my fog light button. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Filled it up with a tank of 99 RON
  23. I spent a good half hour trying to get the nearside sidelight out again to clean/check the connection. Just ened up with some scratched fingers, a bruised hand and have up. Will make another attempt tomorrow
  24. To be honest. I don't want to do it cheap and have it ruin the car in anyway. But I don't want to spend more than I need too. I'd rather save up and do it properly, so I guess coilovers are the way to go? Or will the standard shocks be ok with just some lowering springs?
  25. If it's not a power upgrade might as well go for it. Saying that I wish my first car wasn't as special to me 2.0 GTi The amount of trouble I got in to haha
