Lol remember this from justifying buying the outback lol. Then worried done right thing. Knew was ok when my wife drove it and asked if we could swap and me have her volvo lol. Fingers crossed it works out. Guess the only thing is if you are putting a bit on a card will you have a buffer if something went wrong? Might be worth talking to the loan company though as they may let you redo your current loan to add a bit extra? Cheaper than card interest anyway :-) Cheers Alan

Oh dear, I saw a grey tt like that with the r8 bits. Even had fake side scoops. Yacky
-
Mmm do like these in black. Sure humberside Feds had one in black at one point?? Would be very tempted by one tbh
-
That looks really nice and tidy. I love the subtle look that keeps it standard ish but makes it individual Keep it up :-) Cheers Alan

Did he live in grimsby? I remember going to look at one for somebody else and a guy was selling it. Nice car from memory

Yeah the sound was awesome. Had the lotus centre exit straight through sports exhaust with sports cats. Just scraped through emissions for the mot lol. The power delivery was just fantastic. It had sooo much torque and when you got the boost on. On a private test track it would cruise comfortably at 140ish. I never took it for a max speed run but I think the 170 that it was supposed to do would have been possible. Yes it had some of the lotus reliability things but most things you could sort at home tbh. It was hand built so could be taken apart by hand. Certainly had some special times. The picture is from a charity day I organised with our lotus club. Took disadvantaged and disabled kids out for rides in the lotus's. Had about twenty different lotus cars turn up and take the kids out. The smiles on both the children's and the parents and carers faces was worth a bundle lol. Cooked a pasty on the exhaust as well once at a super car Sunday. With that and using the spoiler for brewing tea it was functional lol Funniest trip was on the way home from work once. It was a nice day on the way in but in the afternoon it snowed and layed. Even with the stupidly wide back tyres with it being mid engine I had a fair bit of grip. The laugh was coming up on a BMW and cruising past him as he sat and just wheelspan. Funniest look on his face evr Hahahahaha. I've still got the big charge coolers in the garage. Had two of them lined up for fitment in the boot to really get the intake temps right down. Huge ally things lol. Maybe one day I'll get to use them :-) Cheers Alan

I had a Stevens 89my 2.2 carb turbo that I modified with charge cooler and had rejetted to 1bar boost. Went from 215bhp to about 290bhp. I also had a g shape wedge one for a bit which my wife had but we sold that one. My baby though was a 2000my 3.5L twin turbo V8! After I'd played with that a bit I had about 400bhp. Was lively in the wet as the only driver aids was your right foot lol. I was planning on taking it to near 500bhp with a couple of charge coolers in the boot but house purchase meant I had to sell it. Guy came over from Zurich for it! Will try and post a pic. Had a lovely carbon gt1 spoiler on the back as well. Made a great tea table hehehe. Will take some pics of the bonnet tomorrow. Am toying with putting some mesh in the intercooler scoop as well :-) Cheers Alan

Hi all, Loving the car so far but would like to be able to play music through the iPhone on it. I rang the local dealer in Doncaster and it would appear I can get a 3.5mm jack plug kit which fits in the cubby box but at £90 seems a bit steep and you can't control the iPod from it. Has anyone done anything else to get their's into the standard radio? I was also thinking of the pure dab radio box as my wife has one on her car and that has a 3.5mm jack and a USB lead on it. Admittedly it sits on the dash so looks a bit messy but you do get some other stations on it. I don't want to replace the stereo though as it isn't bad and has all the climate controls etc on it. Any good ideas or eBay recommendations greatly appreciated. Cheers Alan

Hunting in the garage for some of my cleaning and detailing stuff I found my old lay bar that I used to us on my esprit! Gave it a bit of a kneeling and it came back nicely so decided to have a go on the bonnet. Used plenty of spray wax and rubbed a fair bit of crap off it. Surprising how much crap came off it. Still found a fair few stone chips and defects but to be expected I guess. This is no show car but a daily hack but it's nice to have it looking good. Have got some polish on it for now just to add some protection but will have another go with the clay at some point. Need to get some more McGuires polish though as am running low on that. Hopefully should look ok once the sun hits it lol. Cheers Alan

Must admit I like black with a silver car. However any dark colour like graphite or a dark grey might look nice too. Can you photoshop a pic of your car to have a play? Good luck with it :-) Cheers Alan

That looks ace, Very impressed :-)

Lol know what you mean. Will have a go at the streaming thing though. I had an aftermarket stereo in my old car and that had a USB port so never had to worry about it.
-
Oh and it has a Kane counter!!!! (think Subaru call it an economy meter). The little needle shows how spirited you are being with the throttle. Awesome fun seeing how quick you can bend the needle when you floor it lol.
-
Yep looks like it is standard Subaru fit as well as there is a big Subaru sticker on the sun visor telling you how to use it. According to my wife it is quite good on sound quality when I've rung her on it Cheers Alan

Yeah proper annoyed me as had polished that area this morning after taking the stripes off. Grrrr
-
The stripes came off really easy. Peeled them off then quick polish and you'd never know they were there. Got my chemical bros tyre dressing stuff and had a go at all the plastics including the engine cover and they have all come up like new. Fixed the phone button tonight which had jammed in the on position. Oh love the xenons on the drive home last night. Had a soda octavian vrs with xenons and loved them, missed them since that went. Next job is figuring how to hook the iPhone to the stereo. Must be some sort of lead I can get :-) then need a towbar the black out the back windows :-) Cheers Alan Alan

This is at the front of the back door so hopefully they could get it out. Really annoying though. In my old frontera people parked as far from it as possible lol but that might have been the mud and big wheels lol
-
Well miffed. Not even had it 24 hours and had to go to a local supermarket. Parked in the middle of nowhere so no one would be near me. Came out and there is a dent in the rear passenger door where some cretin has slammed their door open on it!! No cctv so nothing i can do about it! Why do people not give a toss anymore about where they open their doors. No damage to the paint so not sure if a dent master place can get it out. Annoying is not the word i would use! Cheers Alan

Bought it lol

You can see what i mean about losing the pinstripes :-)
