  1. Sti or wrx? I was a bit put off going to 18's as extra stress on gearbox etc. I would've thought 8 inch wide it'd need to be a 45 - 40 offset to clear the struts. Does put a lot of stress on the wheel bearings tho!
  2. I've only seen them on a Clio 182 but yeah I'd say like a darkish grey with metallic fleck. Exact same story with mine, came with cheap Chinese crap on all four corners and was responsible for a few trouser accidents!
  3. Btw, I have the same tyres. !Removed! brilliant in the wet
  4. I quite liked those ones (used to have them before I got bbs) but didn't like the offset or width. I think they'd look good in anthracite tho, dark enough to look menacing but not enough to get lost with the tyres / arches.
  5. Justnogood, what wheels do you have? Might help with colour choice to find same type, some look better in certain colours than others do.
  6. Nice to see they still do a huge rear wing and gold wheels. Makes a Subaru a proper Subaru.
  7. Here's mine with some gold bbs.
  8. Fooking love it!
  9. Re the rb5. Lucky sod! I looked for one 18 months ago (when I bought my blobeye) and couldn't find one with either low miles or good nick. Would be good to see some pics!
  10. Half is a bit generous imho. I ask whether it's an sti coz you don't see many silver ones.
  11. My brother is an arsenal fan too but he doesn't drive a Scooby which says it all lol. Welcome to the club mate. Is that a wrx or sti?
  12. Glad to see we've got some interest building. I'll talk to pub landlord and get some dates from him and I'll post them here. Then stick your name next to the date and basically the most names will win!
  13. I have a set of wrx wheels off my 04 wrx. They're the original bronze colour, 215/45r17 on 17x7j 5x100pcd. Let me know if you'd like them (I don't know how much they're worth). They've got 4 matching (budget) tyres on them with about 4mm tread on all.
  14. Haven't set a date yet. I was thinking if a few people showed interest we could agree on a date that suit the masses.
  15. Not bad to do, does help to use a mirror so you're looking square on at the marks. I know a guy who uses a paint pen and marks a tooth on each pulley and on the belt. Then transfer marks onto new belt. Can't really go wrong with that method :)
  16. The more the merrier. Would be nice to wake up the village with a few nicely tuned boxer engines.
  17. South east, not sure where I should've put it in the first place!
  18. So my local pub landlord has a nice pub in the bucks countryside, big car park etc etc. he's happy to put on a BBQ or beer+burger sort of deal. Is anyone interested in arranging a meet this summer? If so I'll get it sorted with him. There's also a local porsche owners club so possibly a few nice gt3's turning up too. The pub is the king William 4th, in speen, bucks. The pub website is pretty easy to find on google. Let me know what you all think! Thanks in advance.
  19. I'm only having the base and uprights painted, the top part of the wing is staying carbon and being lacquered. Plus, my paint shop guy has been in business for 30 years so I'm sure he'll do it right lol. Just wondering if it's noticeable at motorway cruising speeds, my girlfriend has told me I'm not allowed a new spoiler but I forgot that when I ordered it!
  20. Just got an sti style rear wing for 04 wrx. It's a carbon version. Does anyone know if they bounce/wobble at speed? I've seen quite a few with 'wing stiffies' and wondered if it's a common problem.
  21. Can't believe they'd be so tight on a car like this! Maybe it's for weight saving, performance car lol!
  22. Nice looking car. Has it had the front wheel arches changed, I didn't think the wagons came with the flared arches?
  23. Welcome mate, friendly bunch on here. If your in the bucks area I'd recommend Richard &@ Fb tuning for servicing / mods, he's nr princes risborough. He's a specialist and did my map, very knowledgeable and genuine guy. Will have to start a thread for a bucks meet, my local pub landlord is a Scooby fan lol.
  24. Always nice to see a car getting the care it deserves, well done sir!
  25. Tyre pressures/tyres? Sticky/lazy brakes or suspension wear and tear. Looks like a nice car tho!
