  1. Sorry to revive an old post... Mines just started doing the petrol fillet cap jamming thing... Brilliant! Anyone want to buy it off me?
  2. No worries, I'm almost with you. A couple of times since I've got this thing, I've weighed up my options in swapping it in. It's a really hard thing to describe, i do love the car... and it's by far and away the best car I've ever had. I've been a scooby fan for years, but there are just so many compromises on the car, and you really do have to rev the b****ks off it to get the speed and power you expect. Maybe we're expecting too much?
  3. Sure man... It's here: http://www.iwsti.com/forums/2015-sti-discussion/271395-fuel-door-wont-open.html Having a browse through those forums really highlights all the issues that are appearing, there's a thread on there about leaking rear diff too.
  4. Yeah it looks like this is another 'known issue' with this STI... A quick search on the other forums (those who must not be named) shows a lot of owners complaining about this over in the US. The fit & finish build quality on this car leaves something to be desired!
  5. For what it's worth, I had the garage give it a good check over when I took it in... There was no evidence of a leak, what I was seeing was just the waxy protection that's applied to the underside of the car. So it doesn't appear to be happening to all of them. I'm at just over 2k miles now.
  6. Oh okay, that makes me feel a bit better then! Thanks! There's definitely no drips and no oil spots on the drive. I'm guessing I probably shouldn't have just put a massive finger smudge in the waxy protection then!! :( I'll just ask them to take a look over it when I drop it in next week I think!
  7. Le bugger... It's booked into the garage next Friday for some rattles and whatnot. I'll give them a ring tomorrow and see what they say!
  8. Oh damn... Just looked under mine and there's what can only be described as green 'goop' on the underside of the diff... It's not visible dripping though, does that mean it's leaking? I have no idea of the consistency of the oil that's meant to be in there?
  9. Haha, well it's good to know I'm not the only one, thanks!! Yeah, I'm liking the car! To be honest I've only done around 500 miles in it so I'm still in the break in period. It's also the first performance car I've ever had so I'm probably not that well placed to do a proper 'review' but I do know that it accelerates stupidly quickly, stops stupidly quickly, and handles everything in between beautifully! It's a tad on the rattly side for a new car, but it's a scooby so you don't expect German smoothness! But yeah in general I think they've done an awesome job... I'll post a proper review once I've reached 1k miles and can open it up properly!
  10. Update, just driven it with no air con and no dripping... Feel like a bit of an idiot now, but the car is my baby so I guess I'm allowed to worry! :) Thanks again for your help!!
  11. Aha, didn't even think about that! Yes it was really muggy so I had the air conditioning on, it's dried up now and stopped dripping so I'm guessing it's not the suspension damper as I first feared... I'll take it for a quick drive without the air con and see if it still drips! Thanks a lot for the advice!!
  12. Hi All, So today I was walking back to my car on the forecourt (Yeah, it drinks a lot!) and noticed a pool of water under my car by the front left suspension. Now it had been drizzling earlier that day but not enough I would imagine to create a pool like this after a few minutes. Unfortunately it's been raining ever since, so I can't tell if it's leaking or just channeling rain water down to the front left suspension damper for some bizarre reason. Anyone got any advice to help me identify if its leaking or not? The garage is a fair drive away, so don't want to waste a trip!! Cheers
