Now that I'm playing it on my PC it runs at a solid 60fps but it can drop, which is poor as the graphics are nothing special... in fact, some of the textures are just down right nasty... As for the game itself, it's a 6/10 for me. It just feels like a spookier Resident Evil game... They've even re-used some of the sound effects for the monsters from RE4!!

(PC) Steam PAYDAY The Heist Free
Sandals replied to Gambit's topic in Games/Console/Computer Nerd Room
That's the thing with Steam sales... I already own the first one, it was a price that it would be stupid NOT to buy it, even if I didn't have much intention of playing it :D -

I've never played the first one but the second one is an absolute blast!! -
If I had a next gen console I would have opted for it... no way in hell was I buying the PS3 version, can't stand playing games in 720p!! Going to install it tonight on my gaming PC as opposed to my laptop and see how it is, maybe after a patch and use a controller it will be perfectly fine.
-
Anyone picked this up? Thoughts? I bought it for PC... and can't help but feel it's a little gimped... Locked at 30fps and has an aspect ratio of 2.35:1? These can be remedied with console commands but still can't shake the feeling that it's a shoddy/lazy port... Virtually unplayable with KB + mouse... This is only my impressions after 30 minutes... maybe once I've gotten into it I will start to shine.... in a !Removed! way :D

If you can use a controller you should give it another bash... controls are good when using a controller (good, not perfect :P) -

I'm halfway through my second playthrough (NG+). It is a difficult game to start but once you have levelled a bit and found some decent equipment the game does get easier (still die fairly regularly tho, with my playtime and number of deaths, i'm sitting at around 1 death every 14 minutes!!) I play on the PC to Gambit... Are you using a controller or keyboard and mouse? It's a game that needs a controller! I play using my wired xbox controller! -
A big hello from a fellow Fifer!

Not gonna go mental, will not do anymore until next year probably!! Could do with new front tyres, still tread on them but they are cracking a little so looks like they are just old. Will get that done in the next few weeks... Next thing I would like to do is get some better discs and pads installed, but like I said will probably be some point next year!!

Just to wrap this topic off, I went for the one you recommended and it is excellent! Looks the part, has a nice feel and weight... Cheers!

After finally buying an Impreza which was completely standard, was unusual to hear one that is completely standard! So the quest for making the noise had to start... Thankfully I have a mate who is quite handy around cars which saved me quite a few pennies! So the first thing was replacing the panel filter, opted for a pipercross filter... we then set about removing the airbox resonator!! Took a bit of time but we got there and what a big difference! Can hear the air getting sucked in and hear the dump valve, even tho it's a recirc! Result! Next thing, exhaust!! No wonder it was quiet, the size of the silencer on the standard exhaust is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge!! So we managed to pull that off... I opted to go for a Japspeed 4.5" slashed tailpipe... tis very nice looking and not too loud (only back box) Now I have the classic Subaru burble... I am a very happy man! and it's not too loud so the Mrs is happy as well!!

Ah do you try and do co-op style play? I do like leaving my summon sign and helping other people out... Haven't picked up the DLC yet but I'm sure I will since it's such a good game!! Currently trawling my way through the Shrine of Amana I think it's called? I keep trying to be sneaky and flank enemies... but then I come across a cliff edge which are difficult to see because of the water!! -
Might go for that, looks good... I'll just kid myself and pretend I have the STI version... :D
-
I thought it would be little effort as well!! I'll look online specifically stating that they fit imprezas!!

My 2004 Blobeye comes with a pretty boring leather gearknob... it does the trick but want something a little nicer looking! So I bought this, thought it was unbranded but it's actually momo: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006Y8BY0W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Looked pretty universal, but unfortunately even the biggest size plastic adapter was too small, think I may need to file the plastic bit a little to make it fit. Point of the thread, does anyone have any other recommendations that they know would fit? Not looking for anything fancy, just something with a nice feel and decent weight... Thanks!

Got any other Dark Souls players on here? I just tried to beat the Fire Lizards at the bottom firey area in the Forest of the Fallen Giants... I'm level 130, got my **** well and truly handed to me... Praise the Sun!

Help installing Kenwood DPx305U
Sandals replied to Sandals's topic in Subaru Audio / Electronics / Security
Nevermind, after some more searching I have found the adapter I need... sigh... few days with no stereo for me then!! Anyone have experience with altering the shroud to make it fit correctly? -
I may have been a little naive about this, never had a car in which I could change the head unit!! So basically i managed to get the old unit out, spent ages getting the screws off the cage coz one of them stripped!! Anyway, managed to get the cage onto the new unit but when it came to actually wiring it up, the connector for the wiring loom is completely different to the plug that went into the standard unit. Am I supposed to wire it up directly? Is it not just a case of plugging it in? I'm struggling to find any sort of instructions online, the instructions that came with the unit detail how to set the thing up, but not actually install it!! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also... the !Removed! shroud doesn't fit properly over the new unit... didn't have time to adjust it properly as it got dark very fast...

I was a No voter... I'm not going to go into mega details of why etc. I'm just glad it's done and we can continue on with our lives!!
