And stickerbombed my fuse box. I'll see how it lasts for a couple of weeks, then I might do the alternator cover and air snorkel. Can the silicone hoses be used for the coolant lines aswell (the thin hoses from the radiator to the overflow bottle etc) or do I need better quality hoses for these?

Does my 2010 model have a restrictor pill? If so which pipe is it in? Changing the hoses is something I'd like to do soon.

I've managed to inherit 5 litres of the Castol Edge Longlife iii 5W 30 oil. Will my wrx-s be ok on this? The only mentions I can find relate to VW group cars. I can always chuck it in the Mustang if it's no good for the Scooby, just thought I'd check here first.

Think I got my answer. Visited GT Motorsport to enquire about a remap. Mark seems to think that this cat bypass pipe is part of the prodrive package, also I have no cat in the up pipe which I think is normal on the later 2.5l models too. So I only have the cat in the down pipe. He thinks he can get me about 40bhp but I'm slightly sceptical as these are 251 out of the box. He did however say that the turbo is the limiting factor which I already heard. (Can't get over 300bhp without a bigger turbo). Anyway is £300 a decent price for an open source remap done on the road? Said he'd need the car for about 4 hours.

Ok so had my mid sport pipe fitted on Monday, got on hands and knees to check it out and couldn't see a cat! When I bought the car 3 months ago, I was under the assumption that it was bog standard, (wrx-s) so just prodrive back box. I can see the cat in the down pipe it has subaru heat shield, but the section between this and my mid pipe looks to be just pipe with a lambda plug. It is just made of steel and looks to have been there for a while. The car passed its mot only 1 month before I purchased it. I'm now concerned that my car has been driven for months possibly needing to be mapped if it has no 2nd cat and how did it pass mot? I know decat may have been part of the prodrive package in the past but not too sure on the wrx-s. Anyone know anything or have any advice please?

It has a Torx 30ish slot in it. So it's asking for me to give it a go lol

Rear doors have a peg like a metal cotton reel on the bottom and they fit into a notch out of the tread plate/sill when the door is closed. Anyone know whether I can unscrew them without anything dropping off inside the door? My panel beater needs to gain access to remove a dent.

Ok, so I've fitted a Cosworth high flow filter, and can't tell it's there! I've got it booked in on Monday AM, for a stainless straight through centre pipe, £137 fitted, so I'll see what it sounds like then.

Received my Clay Cloth this morning so that's a job for Friday now, unless it snows. By the way, my drive is 1:7 with a tight 90degree bend at the bottom (so no run up to get out) I hate snow

I think Scotty has looked at this before, he said something about fins or ribs or something on the kick plate means there's not enough contact area to stick to. The 08on are flat (well textured anyway). After seeing mine fitted though, he's back on the case again. I'll have a word when I speak to him next.
