  1. Ramps are a real help. Bought mine for 99p at a booty few years back.
  2. No worries. I got the in-laws over now so I'll jump on later tonight once my boy is in bed.
  3. I'll jump on with you. I'll Probably have my buddy with me.
  4. I got my Scooby for Xmas. Kind of anyway. She'll have a lot of pressies next year.
  5. Cool. If you all decide to make a crew Chuck me an invite over please.
  6. My insurance dropped a lot when I hit 21 and again at 25. Went from a 1.2 to a 1.8 hot hatch then to the 2.0 turbo. Always paying roughly the same insurance as I upgraded.
  7. Not a bad shout. I do like a car that can handle the power. I'd definitely put a top front brace on is there any need for a rear top brace?
  8. Of course Stants. Won't have you I court for false claims like Sony and their killzone case. [emoji1] I think my car is 210 standard and 270 sounds like a nice figure. Eventually I'd like to get a bit more "hard-core" into the nodding scene but for now these mods will make it feel more "Scooby" to me.
  9. I just insured my impreza turbo 2000. I'm 27 6yrs no claims and it cost £670. The broker told me my premium will not increase if I modify the car reasonably. When I asked him what that meant he just said don't go crazy. I said I'll be doing exhaust remap and possibly intake but these mods won't increase my premium. For anyone interested it was a quote by Keith michesls and the chap is called Gary Moulson.
  10. Nice advice Stants thank you. So far in my head I'm going rcm fuel pump then a cat back as exhaust followed by a remap and I'll get in touch with Duncan. I've just been reading up on his website. I'll let him know my intention and see if he has any suggestions too. I have my00 so ecutek seems to be my best option. What sort of power figured do you think I'll see out of these mods?
  11. Yeah the brakes would've been first. I can't stand the power power power mentality if you can't stop quicker dont get faster quicker. Would you recommend a 255 walbro as I've seen only good things on these? Is it worth changing any induction piping or moving the filter? I live down in Kent just a stone's through away from that God awful car park known as the M25. I'm guessing the remap should be last so it can accomidate all the other upgrades together but what order is best to go?
  12. Hi guys I'm looking to get a few ideas from you guys and I'm calling on your experience. As it's stands my impreza turbo has only had front 4-pots with grooved disc and a very quiet, subtle rear box added. Now I'm in no rush to modify it but I want to add a better exhaust system complimented by a decent induction kit, mapped in by whatever you guys recommend to be a good map/mapper. Money is no issue when it comes to my lovely impreza. Cambelt and full service is on the list first so like I say no rush here. I'm all ears and really appreciate any advice you can offer. I'm not modifying her for the power but some rough guess of gains would be nice and also some prices I might expect to pay. [emoji4] Cheers guys.
  13. Hi guys. Thanks to all of you for the welcome. Just a quick update on the car. I did a long journey today 270 miles using £50/42 litres of Tesco 99 fuel. Did some quick maths and works out to be just short of 29mpg. How does this sound to everyone? I was (not) doing 70-80mph on the motorways and a little town driving. Imo I'm very happy and impressed by the mpg.
  14. I'm the 3rd owner. Car has 158k miles but full service history. Everything is documented. Every single mot. I'm so happy with it. Right I'm doing the Xmas journeys today so I best be off. Thanks for the warm welcome Stants.
  15. I will do. I've been trying to get on the forums for the past week but I couldn't get verified I had to resend it or something. All sorted now. I think I managed to add the picture from the sales listing. Not sure if it means much but I was impressed by the fact it still has a turbo heat shield and the plastic tray protecting the engine. [emoji4]
  16. Good morning guys. Bought myself a impreza turbo 2000 last weekend as a cheeky Xmas pressie. As far as I know it's completely standard except front 4 pots grooved disc and a very quiet back box. Rear arches were done just a week before I bought it. I'm absolutely over the moon with it. Also looking to get involved in the forums and maybe meet up at events if anyone can point me in the right direction it'll be much appreciated. Thank you
