Hi Stants Its not just the dash/display that goes mental. The VDC function is mental and reactivates it self. Spoiling all the fun.

Mentioning snow, we have that now in Stockholm, Sweden. Along with appr. minus 10-15 degrees Celsius. That equals = FUN :) That brings me to my question. Sometimes I disconnect the VDC using the designated button. and the display confirm the disconnection. I then expect it to be turned off. Right? But later when I loose grip a bit in a cornering, the VDC is activated in that situation. I can feel it and the display pointing that out also. So.......what is the meaning of giving the driver this opportunity to disconnect VDC if it will self activate anyway?????? Does anyone know the reason? Or is it only my XV 2.0i sport AT gasoline, that behaves like this?

Hi I picked up mine in June 2014 and its a 2.0 Sport Gasoline with CVT. Swedish configuration cause im a swede. :) Think its a great car. Robust and austere. It doesnt claim to be premium which I find liberating i these days when most every car manufacturer på Premium on anything. And it has a certain stance and integrity. I was a bit worried that that luggage compartment would be to small but i works. Specially as I installed a metal cargo divider(?) so I can load the luggage from bottom to roof. Any how. One thing that annoys me is that the front rubber floor mats dont have any fastening system so the slide around on the floor. Grrrr. I bought a after market solution, but it didnt work in the long run. It is sensitive to hard wind i think. Specially in winter with icy roads and with studded winter tyres I must micro compensate the steering continuously. On long stretches that is really brain consuming. On every day basis it consumes 8-9 L/100km.

Finally! As I took my XV to the 15.000 km service the technician explained to me that I shouldn´t pair the mobile phone via the central media unit. I should do it via the steering wheel phone buttons. Then the connection is automatic every time I enter the car. :)

Last post maybe? Today I tested my previous mobile phone, a HTC One, and it automatically connected as soon as I turned on the ignition. Beautiful. So there seems to be something in the protocol between the XV and Samsung Galaxy Alpha and S4 that doesn't work as it should be. The setup is identical in these phones. No extra boxes to check in the HTC.

Integrated without satnav. Its due for its first free service soon and I will hear what they have to say about this. Thanks

Hmmm. Very few possible options in the BT menu on the Galaxy Alpha. Doesn't work. Still have to confirm the phone at engine start. Page 5-33 in the Swedish XV manual clearly says - that's the way its suppose to be....... Will try my sons S4, if it works like yours.

Yes, version 4.4.4. As I understand that is kitkat? Your input sounds promising. Maybe I misread in the manual about the xv not being able to maintain the confirmation of my alpha? Have to check that trusted thing on my alpha again. I guess its there the trust is set? Cant find any "trust"in the bt menu in the xv.

Hi. Thank you. ☺ I use a galaxy alpha. Earlier i had a HTC one and it was automatically identified every time i entered The XV. Thought that was a mistake and shouldnt be possible according to the XV manual.

Hi I have paired my Mobile phone via BT, so its registered by the XV as it should be. Each time I start the motor I have to go through some anoying button-pressing to confirm the identity of the phone. I would like the car to recognize my mobile phone as soon the engine is started and BT is established, As far as I have read in the XV manual that isn't possible. Does anyone have idea to get around this obstacle? BTW. In the confirming menu it looks like one should be able to choose between a number of registered phones, but you are not allowed to register more than One. ?????

Hi I bought new studded winter tires and they aren't equipped with TPMS sensors. In Sweden the importer is required to deliver a new car with TPMS, but the car owner are allowed to buy tires without TPMS, and many do buy without as the sensors cost appr. 80 euro/tyre. The question is if its possible to turn off the warning sign that appears on the dashboard?
