  1. M tec are great value and choice of grooved dimple or drilled very happy with mine i got grooved and dimpled, make a slight noise when driving and braking as the pad brushes against groove but not as bad as the ebc ones on my peugeot..
  2. Best to have done up pipe as well then remap dont think yours has cat in up pipe so cel light fault code wont need mapping out for cat temp sensor so you might be okay..may be some else can confirm ...
  3. Hi am planning a bit more power this year on my wrx bug eye already got green panel filter and a cat back exhaust was going to fit a de cat up pipe and sports cat and get a remap by team carr (has anyone used him on here )i see on other forums loads of good things about him..with these mods i was hoping to see about 280 bhp my only worry is will this stretch the td04 is it better to put a v 34 or td05 on which wont be as strained..but then would you need bigger injectors and sti intercooler..i just want a safe amount of power without breaking engine or turbo.do you usually do a compression check etc before a remap to check health of engine or am i panicking to much...car has 105,000 with full history no Knocks or bangs i think 280 is enough as a daily driver been told it will be a lot nicer to drive after mods and remap,,,also has warlboro fuel pump fitted.....
  4. Adam and Jamie at Autotecnica buxton nice drive out and top guys done loads on my car ...
  5. Hi it's got the standard sigma alarm.....
  6. Hi my interior courtesy light started not dimming and doesn't go off when you lock the car the switch is in middle position also ignition barrel light isn't going out when locking or starting..I've checked all fuses nothing blown after googling it seems it may be the body integrated module if I have one or the illumination module again not sure which mine has on a 2002 wrx wagon..I might add this problem started after I looked at fitting some ghost shadow lights in the doors as I was going to wire them so they came on when door opens after checking with multimeter it seems courtesy light comes on with a neg earth when door switch opens..I've probably caught a connection and shorted something serves me right for messing in the dark with a torch..any ideas to solve it would be much appreciated...
  7. Hi I got mine about 18 months ago...front caliper s can be a issue due to sticking which if left can damage wheel bearing, caliper can also corrode badly I got recon from Andrew page for £220..change cambelt unless your sure it's been recently done..can stall when aproaching junctions means idle valve needs cleaning..change oil regular I use fuches 5/40 fully synthetic with black oil filter don't get the blue ones not as good..clutch could be a worry if Sebastian vettel owned it previous..these are one of the best cars I have ever owned but I find preventive maintenance the key to a reliable car..and remember enjoy it...
  8. Hi lovely looking classic welcome to the club..I don't no where about s you are but I use Autotecnica for jobs I don't want to tackle my self..Adam and Jamie are first rate and good prices..

  11. Hi just wanted to introduce my self to all new members and show some pics of my scooby,i got her about 18 months ago after always wanting a Impreza but foolishly sticking with various Gti,s..I wanted the Sportswagon as i needed the bigger boot for my tools i looked at a few before settling on this example 2 owners last owner a lady for 10 years full history at Subaru and chevron Motorsport staffs. I just fell for everything about this car on the way home and started planning a unique wagon..bodywork was mint but i decided i wanted flared front wings so i got these a sti front bumper big bonnet scoop pro drive headlamps and wing and grill vent & a few other bits and bobs, so i recently had this all fitted and a full respray she was away for 4 weeks but she looks just as i wanted....also tinted rear windows, she had 18 pro drive wheels when i got her i just had them powder coated black..also fitted rally mud flaps and a cobra stainless exhaust to unleash that burble, Hoping this year to have some performance work done i have had a few mechanical jobs done at Autotechnica buxton (cant say enough)how good Adam & Jamie are top blokes and there knowledge is amazing....so with there help and a Andy Carr remap i should have the power to match the looks.. But i will be asking a lot of forum questions as the knowledge on here seems amazing...
  12. Hi have got ebc discs and green pads on my 206 gti they are as noisy as hell when pulling up so I put mtec grooved discs and pagid pads on my subaru and have been really impressed, when fitting grooved discs it's worth checking disc run out and clean hub really well before fitting disc...Phil...
