  1. Fingers crossed nice project there for the new year😀pity partners arent sympathetic to our hobbies and needs ha ha or both..
  2. I put direnza lowering springs 30mm with bilstein shocks on my 206 gti track day car they were progressive handles great but make a bit of a noise where the closer springs are wound when driving tried fitting springs either way round made no difference after googling progressive springs are known for being noisy some cars worse than others dont no if i would fit again to my daily driver as noise really got on my !Removed!😤want to change my scooby shocks and or springs but not sure what to get want it slightly lower and a tad stiffer but not so my teeth hurt getting to old for that😂😂
  3. I think the abs kicks in to early on my scooby and any other i have driven...if your having probs on your abs i no you havent stated what but on all my cars its nearly always been the reluctor ring on driveshaft either corroded loose or damaged teeth, they come with a new driveshaft but you can just replace ring they need a torch to heat up and shrink when cold to stay on😎
  4. I always let mine idle a few mins to warm up windows defrost would do a bit longer but neighbours would kill me 😆 dont think they appreciate our flat four soundtrack...
  5. Never seen one like that before..follow Auky,s advice sounds about right😎
  6. Only way is a code reader get one off ebay for a tenner obd 2 ,can then get code and find the fault and turn light off worth every penny😎
  7. Thats just were mine went i fitted a eurocarparts one for £60 as a stop gap to a better one but still going 3 years on😎
  8. When i got my exhaust i did a lot of Google and phoning specialist and the majority recommended 2.5 over 3 inch bore piping there answer was 3 inch loses to much back pressure unless running high power ...i,m not saying 3 inch is wrong and 2.5 is right its just what i learnt,if you google it you will see thats the feeling regarding subaru,s among the gurus😎in reality theres probabley no difference your happy with 3 i,m happy with 2.5 and life goes on 😂😂
  9. 2.5 inchpipework is more recommend unless going over 350 bhp as gives more low down torque v35 turbo and a map should make a reliable 320 330 lts if you do a lot of heavy launches and are not very sympathetic the gearbox can go bang on a standard car😎😎
  10. He may have done a decat in the upipe which means you need a a resistor to join wires and stop check light have a google loads of info..
  11. Could be a offset issue these companies sell some weird offsets and list them for cars have a good look on the wheel should be stamped somewhere i,ve seen them listed in the 30s for offset and origanls are in the 50s so can put a stain on components..
  12. Hi mate would love to go sent you my details only an hour from me ....best get the car polish out😎😎
  13. I got some all weather nokian this time last year really good in wet and that bit of snow we had kept them on all summer as haven't had time to refurbish my summer wheels with the new parada spec on, on amazing tyre I think for the limited snow we get good all weather tyres are the way to go work in low Temps good if we have a mild winter and good in the heat..these nokians have a bit of a bobbly tread pattern so the odd bit of snow we had they were amazing that's just my opinion as I don't think summer tyres are great with the really wet winters we have been having😎
  14. I got mine off ebay £50 each wing but prices vary and cheaper if you collect..
  15. I might be interested in buying it if you want to give me your no we could have a chat and if you could send me pics of all round the car,I, m in stockport so to far away to come and view would have to get a company to trailer it here cheers Phil..
  16. As others have said you need to no iff it's low on boost first and then looking at service items and maybe get a compression test done to check health of engine...
  17. Parts probably cost me £100 for pair of wings and £150 for bumper and arch liners it was the respray and fitting that cost £2500 you can get resprays cheaper but I wanted a top notch job,as I said I would probably fit wings and bumper myself then get a bodyshop to paint and blend it in will then look top notch as it looks a nice example now ,probabley be about £500 to paint wings and bumper and blend into doors. You would be very lucky to fit second hand parts and the colour match perfect but it comes down to cost and how good you want the final finish
  18. My build is on page 2 of gallery and showroom under scooby 1972 cheers Phil..😎
  19. Hi Naz I did this on my wagon looks so much meaner have a look at my gallery...you will need wings front bumper and wheel arch liners off a saloon..I had a full respray with it being silver even with a blend into the doors I would have been able to tell..but with your colour a blend into front doors by a good bodyshop should look great it all bolts on and off so you could fit them yourself to keep costs down..
  20. Looking amazing did you do prep and respray yourself 😀
  21. Or just use a open ended spanner to check bar thickness if you don't have a gauge 😁
  22. I got a separate plain key cut and then cut the old one off after reprogramming fob so I have the key fob for opening and closing car and on the same keyring the key starts it and immobiliser starts car off fob hope that makes sense...😀
  23. Maybe needs a fluid change as it's breaking down under temperature 😀
  24. Yours would be classed as a dark colour if it has a few swirls marks as they usually do a good way to bring it up first is ultimate compound by megui rs 😀😀
  25. I've tried most brands on the market and at the minute I'm happy with poor boys products easy to apply and remove use the black glaze for dark cars or the white glaze for lighter cars then seal in with nattys wax by poor boys, also had good results with megui res products..I've tried autoglym and mers that everyone raves about and found them hard to remove and left a lot of powdery residue also not that impressed with dodo juice but just my two cents from my own experience 😀
