Just the standard wheels. These are the same size, but I've gone from 55 to 35 offset. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

Got some proper wheels on now, they poke the smallest amount, but I think I'll get away with it. I'm surprised how much of a difference they've made! Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

Noticed a low hissing when operating the clutch, even when static. The Internet tells me it's the throwout bearing. Not sure if I should be concerned or not based on what I've read! Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

That looks awesome, the difference is more than I would have expected. I'd love to do similar to mine, bit I'm scared of losing my warranty!

Being a bit OCD about my centre caps. After finding some badges that'd fit the massive rota centre caps, I just sort of hoped they'd fit inside the lip on the caps. No such luck, so here I am. It'll look good in the end! Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

Wow, posted in completely the wrong thread. I've been caught lurking with some wagon lust!

Sorry to say it, but from what I've heard, Subaru UK are terrible. They're just the distributor (IM Group) and as such don't really care. My strategy is crossing my fingers really hard and wishing I don't have to deal with them. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

I believe pistonheads had a similar issue with their sti: http://www.pistonheads.com/regulars/ph-fleet/subaru-wrx-sti-ph-fleet/31429 Given the car is still in warranty, I'd pony up for the correct tyre, as having mismatched tyres (even front to back) can damage the diff, and I'm not sure how subaru would react if your tyres don't match! I've got a not completely unrelated dilemma at the moment, I'm getting new wheels and have been offered some nankang ns2rs. I've decided against them as I'm unsure how the change in tyre (specifically sidewall ratio) will impact on warranty.

Is this the 1.2 carbed three banger? If so, we might be able to help, as we've just bought a 1987 justy, and it came with a Chilton repair manual!

These badboys arrived today. After a refurb, I'll finally have gold wheels [emoji2] Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

I'm definitely interested. Can't confirm right now, but will give a solid answer asap.

Surrey Scoobies already have a monthly meet at the Fairmile in Cobham. I believe it's the second Sunday of each month. Their forum is here: http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk Note that it seems to be down today, but they're aware as it's all over their Facebook!

Rota grid drift wheel nuts. Which??
MikeEcho replied to jonnyboy82's topic in Subaru Tyres / Wheels & Suspension
So, to completely hijack this thread, will the stock nuts not work with rota wheels then? Just bought some and was planning on using the ones I had! -
I should also add: it's for sale! Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

Took my car into the dealer to get the passenger door issue fixed (as well as the issue with paint chipping on the boot lid). An hour later I get a phone call from the workshop "Which passenger door is it that won't open?" Either I'm an idiot and it opens fine, or I'm scared for my car..
-
Found my passenger door doesn't open. Apparently the actuator has failed, and it's common with these, as the dealer already knew about it. Booked in to get sorted on Friday!

CarBen Fibre Creations - Introduction
MikeEcho replied to CarBenFibreCreations's topic in Subaru Group Buys
Late to the party here: Are you considering doing anything for the 2015 STI? I quite fancy myself some stiffies (cue puns). -
For those interested, this is what the new tailpipes look like: https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=992315107475497

I got custom backboxes fabbed and put on today. Night and day difference, now it sounds like a Subaru! The place that did it took photos and video, I'll link to it when it's online.

Wow, now I feel young. I'm 25.

So I've been considering exhausts idly, as I feel my car is a little quiet. I've come across this: http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24_427&products_id=3626 This seems attractive to me as there's no way it could void the car's warranty. Realistically I'm not looking to heavily mod for the time being, or I'd go for a full system. Do people reckon these will have much of an impact on the sound? I'd love to get a bit more rumble in my life!

2015 wrx Sti reverse cam install
MikeEcho replied to 2015sti's topic in Subaru Audio / Electronics / Security
I'm not sure that it's a UK option. As I understand it the reversing camera we can get is tied to the nav head unit. At least that's what my options brochure seemed to say!
