  1. Think I can mate it be my first car meet :-D
  2. I would love them but they don't fit so just unlucky I guess :-(
  3. Ok cool shall look at a cat back system seen this one that looks good http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24_207&products_id=2114 Also this http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24_207&products_id=2063 With http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24_207&products_id=2070
  4. Is there much advantage to upgrading the mid pipe to 2.5 or 3 inch over the stock 2inch pipe? As I can get a back box for the standard piper for £300 or for an extra £220ish I can upgrade it from cat back to a 3inch system? Thanks Alex
  5. Can only find the PPP kit for the sti so guess they dident make one for the wrx. So will have to pick out a nice backbox and get a remap sorted and see what happens :-D
  6. O so don't fit anyway that's a shame they are very cool hope someone has them.
  7. I really like them but don't have that kinda cash at the moment. :-(
  8. Yer you said about turbos and bits before but even a 30bhp is really good and can then look at turbos when I have more money to spends. So should look for a backbox and filter then getting a remap. Is there anywhere to get the PPP backbox or something similar? Or will most straight through backbox be about the same? Thanks Alex.
  9. Btw it's only the wrx not the sti.
  10. Wow that's a big gain for a simple mod the standard backbox must suck. Don't want to spend loads I have seen a direct bolt on at scooby world for £300. So if just that and a remap can gain me anything close to 330 I will be very happy.
  11. Hi Guys, I have a 2008 WRX Impreza hatch, I am looking to get some more power from it. I know I will need a remap after changing the exhort so might look at doing a few things at once depending on the cost of having that done. If anyone knows a good place around North East Lincolnshire for remaps and cost that would be a big help. So I have looked and see a few bolt on options, I really like the dual exit style like this: But dont hate the single one so thats also an option and less work as I dont need to cut the bumper. But as I am looking for power I would like to know the best way to go. Should I go to a custom place and have something made up say Turbo Back or Cat back. or get a bolt on kit. I have seen a kit on Scooby world that will bolt on to the standard system so I am guessing will not give much gains: http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24_207&products_id=1439 as its only changing the muffler. But they also sell pipes to upgrade to 2.5 or 3 inch so that could be an option. Really just looking for power and I dont want anything to loud as its a daily driver and I do motorways a lot for work. Thanks for any help Alex
  12. That sucks man, anyway these could be glued in? stop it happening again. Keep you eye on eBay for anyone selling some local to you and see if you can find them. I know people when I used to have my navara as people used to nick the spare wheel from under the bed as it was an alloy not steely.
  13. Managed to reverse it into a little wall, to used to my navara. Not to bad just a little touch up to fix it I hope. Only had it a little over a week.
  14. Nice sounds like a good car and looks good as well. Welcome from another new member.
  15. I have a thought about it as a colour change and to protect the paintwork as this car is in really good condition. I would say go for it if you like it. You will stand out at meets and have a car people talk about. Remember it's not what other people think of your car its what you think to it. If it makes you happy your doing it right.
  16. I don't see it done much but a friend of mine dose it and I made a film for him of a full carbon wrap on a sl55. Looked really good.
  17. Well I like the sound of that :-D I thought about the cosworth filter is that the best way to go as looking at the intake its already got a cold feed and a nice closed system. As for the exhaust just going for a better flowing system? I do fancy a twin exit style system.
  18. Thanks yer I havent spotted anything on it yet, the misses says she found some stone chips... I think she was just being mean. The Alloys need a clean up so will be painted or replaced as I am not sure I like them and fancy something darker. Shame as the tires are almost new so might not change them just yet. Yer these subaru people seam to be hiding all over the place, watching you....
  19. Thanks, it's a daily driver so carnt really decat due to mot and so on. I was thinking: Turbo back exhaust Upgrade to turbo And remap Maybe a front mount as well EIbatch springs And some better alloys. Also if there a benafit to dump valves? As I seam to read bad things online. Not sure how much that would give me but looking to keep the car very drivable but would be nice to get into the 280bhp club.
  20. Yes that was me :-D
  21. That's not a bad price I fancy something like that for mine so good to know an idea of price.
  22. Fixed the squeaking parcel shelf with some black felt. Not very exciting but had to start with something.
  23. Hay, I picked up my Impreza last week coming from a Navara pick up so glad I am not the only one coming from commercial to Subaru.
  24. Yer your going to be right I have moded every car just starting from a strong bases this time. Just need to find some ideas and learn about the car to make sure I don't wast time and money or worse damage the car.
  25. All fixed thanks for the help. Now need to look at other mods. Not looking for anything to crazy but nice to be running a bit more power than stock. Where do people normally start with this car? Most of my normal mods are done on this car from factory. That said I don't like the alloys so they need changing.
