  1. not sure why you should have issues finding one, they are just a typical car battery? have a look on https://www.yuasa.co.uk/ should be able to search for either make/model/engine or by reg number
  2. Welcome :D My folks have just got a new crosstrek (renamed xv haha) to replace their old xv and are really pleased with it, MPG isnt great for similar SUV crossovers even being a hybrid. But thats mainly as its permanent awd. MIght be a cheaper option if you dont need a full size forester? Subaru UK also has a very strange way of selling cars, they have stock of new cars rather than made to order and then seem to swap them between dealers depending on what customers come in. Also only real options are choice from 2 specs and what colour, thats it :S. So you may not be able to get the exact colour/spec, but the flip side is the prices tend to be considerably cheaper than list price, my folks wanted the basic crosstrek in the brighter oasis blue (£37k, only white is a free paint choice :S), but they didnt have any available in that colour/spec, closest was a touring in saphire blue (darker blue) which list is £39k but they got it for low £32-34k (cant remember exactly)
  3. Wagon and saloon front wings are different, saloon has a stepped style profile front wing and the wagon a sloped style, but I'm not sure if the bumpers are the same, but could be its a saloon bumper? Its hard to see cos of the hand in the way as it almost looks like hte bumpers not pushed back far enough. is the one that as originally on the car? (does the paint shop have more than one scoob in and they have painted the wrong bumper?) Did it fit before being sprayed? have you got any other pics?
  4. do you know what those code mean?
  5. yeah, could be its pick up knock at high revs, tbh sounds like it my be worth a run on a dyno to see whats going on.
  6. The heat in the cabin comes from the heater matrix which is heated by the engine coolant. So its basically adding additional cooling, which gets rid of the extra heat thats overwhelming the cooling system when its just the normal rad. When the headgasket goes it can cause gas to seep into the coolant from the cylinder, that gas is hot, which is what causes the heat to rise. so basically failed headgasket, add temp to the coolant system, cabin heater takes that extra heat out of the system. hopefully that makes sense. you can try a sniff test that looks for exhaust gases in the coolant, although its not always 100% reliable.
  7. bit late, but tbh i would just replace them with a set of decent coils, correct setup wont be back breaking etc I've got tein flex z on mine and i love em, firmer than stock, but not back breaking etc
  8. Could try importcarparts
  9. Prices are all over the place, but i would guess 4-5k
  10. have to say im not that up on subaru diesels, but i do remember crank issues being mentioned. tbh just keep up on top of maintenance and just drive it and not worry about it unless you need to.
  11. try importcarparts
  12. could try importcarparts, or might be a good time for an upgrade
  13. I would get a specialist to check out the full system, thermostat etc, but with the heater affecting it doesn't sound great for the HG
  14. I would get it to a specialist to get it checked out, could well be duff cam sensor, which could be bad if left.
  15. Welcome :D get some pics up :D
