Hi Tlag, Im trying to decode the vin but not having much luck as i cant find the correct decoder. You probably know its different to the uk market codes. Fisrt 3 digits ofthe vin is BL5 which indicated 4 generation from what i can see.....the car is marked s a B4.

Hello members. On my log book it states legacy B4; it does not describe the car as a sti or anything else but i notice there seems to be a few variations, anyone understand what they all are? What does the B4 mean? How many different types of legacy are there?

Hi Stants, So are you saying that to tune your car you need a Tuning licence? For now i would just like my legacy to run on British grade fuel. I went to a garage today but was informed they only done 2wd.

Yes it will be good to meet up sometime have a closer look at other cars. I do work a lot but will try to get to some meets and as both me and the better half like to drive we have no objection to traveling any meets within two hours of dartford.

The car. ......Decenber 2003 2.0L B4. Having the option of a setting that lets you use an alternative fuel sounds good.

Thank you Scoobyghost and Tom_gr7, ...Nice coments All i need to do is keep it that way. I have a lot to learn regarding the car and any faults that come with a Legancy, it's a 2.0L B4 by the way. So far nothing happens when i press the open boot button on the phob, so that needs looking at. It's the first car i would claim to be beautiful.

Hello all, When i had a Range Rover a chip was added to the engine. It was just a small box of tricks that could be turned on and off which gave another 30 BHP when needed for towing. With my Suburu i'd like it to be tuned for economy but with a similar power box that i can turn on or off when needed for performance power setting, Have you had this done and how well does it work?

I had a look and there is a cover over the manifold which has boxer written on it but could not see any red. Almost everything looks new. I could not find a turbo but there must be one somewhere, when i get the time i will take off the engine covers and have a closer look. One thing i can say about the car is that it is a dream to drive.....as a new Suburu owner if the car does not give me too much trouble i could be a long term owner/ convert.....lol

Thank you. I looked at that company, the pictures tell a story of everything getting coated. I certainly dont want everything except the exhaust undersealed......just the underside of the floor thank you...lol

Hello all again, Last post today. As im always busy and don't have a lot of free time i'll need to get some work done by others. The first thing will be to have the uderside of the car treated so any recomendations not too far from dartford would be very handy. My legacy being an import needs it, so I'd like to get this done before the winter set in. Thank you.

Hello fellow members, My 2003 Suburu Legacy has a small metal badge on the front spoiler = sti. This may be simple to most people but iv'e not really taken much interest into the specifics of cars before...lol Iv'e a lot to learn so there will be plenty of questions on there way to you.....lol I don't know what this indicates about the car? What should i look out for to prove its sti status? (whatever that means...lol) Does it mean sports turbo injection?
