  1. Sorry to hi-jack but is it a newage STI tmic mate?
  2. Cheers fella! will have a play when I get home!
  3. Hi people, When I had my VAG cars I just used an ODB2 to wifi connector and DashCMD / Logworks (the apps) to show me the data on my engine but I don't even think my 01 WRX has ODB2 let alone where the port is! haha Anyone know easiest way of getting this info on my phone? Thanks in advance!
  4. Yea I'm pretty happy with the outcome, can't wait for it to be fixed Sat! Also, they showed me a brand new black Scoob project that they were working on, should be good for 600bhp once finished! looked bad ****!
  5. Good news! Went to Clinic yesterday (great bunch of lads), One of the mechs went out in my car to see what he thought, came back and said he thinks clutch isnt aligned properly, not the gearbox! Was quite funny tho as he also told me I wasn't using V Power fuel (which I wasn't), apparently he said it didn't smell and sound right at high RPM and I should always use V power! haha So its not booked in for next Sat for Clutch (recon fly if needed) and both front callipers replaced with refurbs as seized piston! Really happy with the outcome! Also an excellent drive from my house to Clinic as it takes me over Buxton and Bakewell!
  6. Taking it ScoobClinic and Scoobworld tomorrow! Wish me luck!!! :P
  7. Shudders up and down all the gears, the car is virtually stock too, but it has done 140k
  8. Yea you have a good point, the car is pretty hard to live with at the min tho and won't have cash to fix it for few months, hopefully clinic will say the box is OK!
  9. Thanks for the help guys, I'm going to try take it into ScoobyClinic sat to have another opinion, I would just want cheapest place to be honest, as long as it's drive able in heavy traffic (to and from work)
  10. Hi all, Since I have had my scoob Its always had a strange judder when pulling off and gearing down, I just took it to a blokes house who is pretty sure its the gearbox Does anyone know anywhere near Staffordshire that can rebuild my box or buy a used/recon one for pretty cheap?? Thanks in advance ! :(
  11. Hi, sorry I don't think I'm making myself clear, I already have a WRX wagon with the two standard rear spoilers and the standard bonnet scoop, I'm looking for bigger/ better ones,
  12. Hi all! I cant seem to find a definitive answer to this but I think the stock one on my WRX looks a bit wimpy! please can you advise on a better/bigger one? Also I cant seem to find any after market rear spoilers for the WRX estate? Thanks in advance!
  13. Ok VIN issue sorted but still having the judder when pulling off in warm and cold, getting me down about the car now as I really struggle in stop start traffic to and from work each day (esp the parts where its uphill) :(
  14. Sorry I'm really new to scoobies, So I could replace my WRX engine and gearbox bushing with the STI bushing? (is it better than the WRX ones?)
  15. Thanks I may try that before I got to the expense of clutch and flywheel,
  16. Hi thanks I will check out the mounts, would this be identified on MOT tho?
  17. Thanks! Its not just when cold, its all the time unfortunately, When I first pull off from a stop and when I gear down it judders, I dont think it has uprated clutch...
  18. Hi all, Got my first WRX (2001) yesterday, thought I would broaden my knowledge of this epic car, I'm surprised how good the car is mechanically for its age, the only issue is that I have a judder when gearing down and setting off from a stand still! I have had a quick google and have found that it may be that the clutch is on the way out... but other places/people say its just the way these are? Also, I tried to contact my local dealership to find out about if there has been any recalls etc, only to find out that my VIN is not recognised by the systems?!?!?! Any help would be greatly appreciated, Cheers Ash
