  1. Thanks guys, think I will keep it for a while then and enjoy doing the subtle mods you guys highlighted! :D Any mods to avoid?
  2. - Salsa King; due to lower running costs and initial purchase cost the WRX is way more bang per buck for me (don't get me wrong would love one) (especially modded), - ScoobyGhost; thanks I would be very happy if i dropped on an exhaust for £100! + Yes I would prefer to keep standard looks too as its listed in the insurance as un modded haha
  3. hmm, Seems like they are pretty well built, And after this Sat it will have brand new clutch and two front refurb callipers, Thanks for the list of mods, what would you recommend?: panel filter or cone (will buy K&N panel?) exhaust system, with decats (where from and how much ish?) remap (ecuteck?) fuel pump (what rating, and where best place buy?) Thanks !
  4. Its not bad to be honest, full Subaru service history, and 100% un modded
  5. Hi all, Well the plan was to dip my foot into Scoobs by buying a cheap one to see how much I like them in real life driving etc, So I got a completely standard WRX 01 Estate 3 weeks ago that's done 140k, and I love it! (especially when the clutch is fixed) But now I have a dilemma, I LOVE to modify cars and research how to eek every last bhp out of an engine and make it a reflection of my personality (not chavy! haha) But due to the age and mileage of my car, I have a couple of options in front of me: 1 - Keep the WRX for 1 or 2 years, keep is standard, then sell it, and get a slightly newer one with less miles (blob, hawk), perhaps with some ProDrive parts already on it, then keep it for a few years and modify it etc etc 2 - Keep it for a few years and Modify the sh*t out of it and hope something doesn't blow up and don't think about how much it owes me when I come to sell What would you guys do?
  6. Also, how do you perform a full de-charge of the car? (to make ecu learn fuel etc again)
  7. Morning all, Yet another question! ^_^ When I'm turning around a tight bend, the steering wheel pulses, Hard to describe but it almost feels like its pulling against my input a little... Any ideas or is this normal? Thanks!
  8. Hi all, I'm looking to upgrade the front speakers and tweeters on my 01 WRX with these: http://caraudiosecurity.com/sxe-1350s-13cm-250w-components I realise I need the adapter for the main speakers: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370958253818?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT If so does anyone have a link on how to install speaker and tweeter in the front door? (I can't find one in the How-To section) Thanks!
  9. Morning all, As I have only had my scoob for a couple of weeks I haven't had the chance to meet up with any scoob owners in my area, would be good to know some local lads for all of the noob questions and the "Does this look right to you...?" 's haha Anyone fancy putting something together?
  10. Sorry to hi-jack but is it a newage STI tmic mate?
  11. Cheers fella! will have a play when I get home!
  12. Hi people, When I had my VAG cars I just used an ODB2 to wifi connector and DashCMD / Logworks (the apps) to show me the data on my engine but I don't even think my 01 WRX has ODB2 let alone where the port is! haha Anyone know easiest way of getting this info on my phone? Thanks in advance!
  13. Yea I'm pretty happy with the outcome, can't wait for it to be fixed Sat! Also, they showed me a brand new black Scoob project that they were working on, should be good for 600bhp once finished! looked bad ****!
  14. Good news! Went to Clinic yesterday (great bunch of lads), One of the mechs went out in my car to see what he thought, came back and said he thinks clutch isnt aligned properly, not the gearbox! Was quite funny tho as he also told me I wasn't using V Power fuel (which I wasn't), apparently he said it didn't smell and sound right at high RPM and I should always use V power! haha So its not booked in for next Sat for Clutch (recon fly if needed) and both front callipers replaced with refurbs as seized piston! Really happy with the outcome! Also an excellent drive from my house to Clinic as it takes me over Buxton and Bakewell!
  15. Taking it ScoobClinic and Scoobworld tomorrow! Wish me luck!!! :P
  16. Shudders up and down all the gears, the car is virtually stock too, but it has done 140k
  17. Yea you have a good point, the car is pretty hard to live with at the min tho and won't have cash to fix it for few months, hopefully clinic will say the box is OK!
  18. Thanks for the help guys, I'm going to try take it into ScoobyClinic sat to have another opinion, I would just want cheapest place to be honest, as long as it's drive able in heavy traffic (to and from work)
  19. My gearbox code is TY754VN2AA if thats any help
  20. Wouldn't really know what I was looking at tbh,
  21. Hi all, Since I have had my scoob Its always had a strange judder when pulling off and gearing down, I just took it to a blokes house who is pretty sure its the gearbox Does anyone know anywhere near Staffordshire that can rebuild my box or buy a used/recon one for pretty cheap??
