  1. I just replaced the o ring and replaced the fluid and it's been fine ever since 😊
  2. Not really no as the UV fade is predominantly on the outside not the inside
  3. Sadly there is no permanent fix as plastic will always fade when exposed to UV rays, it all depends on how faded they are? 2000-2500 grit wet and dry sandpaper then you will need to remove the wet sanding marks with a cutting compound (I personally use Koch Chemie Heavy Cut) and a DA Polisher. I always finish my restored headlights with a ceramic coating as it is the strongest thing to prevent the fade occuring. If you don't properly seal them they fade within a couple of months again
  4. As a budget product i'd look at the Killerwaxx range they don't break the bank and are far superior to the likes of Poorboys/Meguiars/Autoglymm/Auto Finesse etc. In honesty there isn't really any mid-range products as they don't tend to offer better performance over a decent budget product but are too close to the cheaper high end products. Products to look at : Shampoo - Gtechniq GWash / Killerwaxx Foamzilla (both are pH neutral ensuring you aren't stripping any previous layers of protection) Wheel cleaners - Nanolex Wheel Clean Waxes - Swissvax Shield (this is a cheaper option and suited for daily cars as it's synthetic not carnauba) / Killerwaxx Carnauba Paste Wax Quick detailers - Killerwaxx Orange Pop Maintenance protection - Gtechniq C2V3 Liquid Crystal There are many other products on the market and depending on whether it's a show car or daily would vary the products i'd recommend/use
  5. As a professional detailer if you really want the best products you have to go with Swissvax, they are unrivaled when it comes to waxes but they aren't cheap, I tend to use them on a lot of my clients show cars. If you are after durability then ceramic coatings are the way forward and something like Gtechniq Crystal Serum as it will provide protection up to 5 years. Autoglym and Meguiars are budget products and I honestly wouldn't recommend them as there are much better budget options available I detailed this California at the weekend and it was finished with a £200 Swissvax wax which is one of the lower end ones And this is a Noble M600 Carbon Sport I detailed for Noble themselves at their factory in Leicester for a show that was finished with a Gtechniq ceramic coating
  6. Hi guys,Lately i've noticed my power steering is whining quite a lot and when performing so speed manoeuvre's the steering feels quite juddery. I have replaced the alternator/PAS belt and it still remains, from looking online it appears that the issue could lie with the o-ring for the top hose connector, however i've found 3 different part numbers is anyone able to offer any advice? The 3 part numbers i've found are34439FE00034439FG00034439FE010 Thanks in advanceDan
  7. Hi bud, think i've found you if not i've just messaged some random guy and he now thinks i'm a stalker
  8. I recently fitted the Subaru S202 2.5" Titanium exhaust on mine and absolutely love the sound, I still have both cats in place too :D, ignore the smoke it was just burning off old crap from the exhaust within 5 minutes it wasn't smoking at all
  9. awesome i'll take a look :) may have to get christmas out the way first though lol
  10. Damn thanks Tidgy although in a way i'm glad it's shock as opposed to driveshaft etc (clouds and silver linings and all that lol), yep mine is a saloon i'm just trying to decide between a set of coilovers or shocks and lowering springs. I'm not looking for the slammed look but a small drop would be nice I guess, must be able to clear speed humps and not be too harsh as it's my daily driver. Annoying as I only just got the car 3D aligned and the guys said it had one of the best alignments they had ever seen lol with next to perfect
  11. Hi Guys My 05 Blob WRX has started developing a slight knocking noise from the rear, it doesn't happen all the time and only tends to be if one side is impacted and not the other or when pulling away at low speeds, slight bumps in the road when level doesn't cause the knock which would suggest it's not droplinks to me. Am i a victim of the dreaded rear shock knock or could this be more driveshaft/arm related? any advice appreciated :) Dan
  12. Ahh ok, thanks i'll bare that in mind :)
  13. Yeah i know that's what I said bud :) I want the GT1's not the PPF7's but in terms of styling i.e. lip, winglets etc that's how i'd like mine to look
  14. Thanks Steve, yeah i've heard that replacing the ARB's (especially the rear) with whiteline makes a massive difference too and dials out some of the factory understeer :) ? This is the sort of look I have in my head that I'd like to achieve which should just keep it nice and clean, but as I say with the Pro Drive GT1 wheels instead
  15. Haha i know i know, but in a way that's one benefit of the WRX as the gearbox/engine kind of limit what I can do without the need for big work which will stop the car becoming a project hehe
