  1. Well looks like the weather will be good over the weekend so planning to get the wheels off steam cleaned and sealed, paint the callipers and clean and seal under the wheel arches :)
  2. Seeing as the weather was actually quite nice tonight I decided to sting the plans and work a wee bit on the car, this included removing all the rust and paint from the battery clamp and preparing it for a fresh paint (my car didn't come with one so bought one second hand), fitting new bulbs in sidelights and headlights, trying to resolve the finger sized gap in the passenger side bumper, removing the fog lights and fitting the new covers. It doesn't seem to much but with no experience on working Subaru's what so ever it was good fun and quite interesting!! The front bumper support has completely rusted through so another part needing replaced and wait till you see the corrosion on the fog lights!! There has been some interesting wiring done on the passenger side headlight which was fun :D Getting the music on :) Rust through the bumper support bar, might need to replace now!! One very dirty headlamp :/ Getting to grips with the bumper :) Drivers side fog light, salt loves metal :P Passenger side, may of been my fault its smashed, love the snow :) Temporary solution New fog light covers added, they will be getting painted when I get the time. Hopefully soon :) Have to say I really enjoyed working on the car and getting my hands dirty, cant wait for the next dry day :)
  3. Yeah definitely :) I just hope that its not in the same way!! Couriers can be dreadful!!
  4. New one is getting delivered on Friday :)
  5. I gave it my best go but sadly I cant get it back to its original shape, the brackets supporting the bar are two bent and the welds are coming apart. Quite gutted to be honest, but onthe phone to get another delivered.
  6. Good news, the supplier has phoned me back and was brilliant, he has said if I can bend it back into shape he will refund me 50% of the money which is brilliant, if not he will replace the bar. Was really nice about it and totally understanding. So getting the blow torch our and trying to bend it back into shape :) hopefully will work. Any tips on bending bars back into shape? :)
  7. Today has not been a good day, started off good with cleaning the car and steaming cleaning the windows and alloys, then when I got round to using metallic colour restore, as I was buffing it all off to look shiny and clean it starts to **** down, but a courier arrived with my rear bumper support bar to cheer me up, but as I looked at it, I noticed something!!!!! As you can see its !Removed!!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161024093995?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#rpdId I ordered it from here and I am about to contact them and let them know what has happened, to say the least I am not happy. This is what it should of been like not exactly the same but not bent.
  8. Right Guys, This may sound rather stupid thick. but I cannot get into the head lights to change the bulbs, any one know how to on a classic Impreza? Its rather perplexing!! Also fitted a new head unit in :D Also went to Automek in EK and the car is now booked in for new rear bumper bar, solenoid wastegate, dump valve, braided hoses and will more than likely be adding a few things on!! Cant wait for it all to get down, all in time just under 300 miles to download festival
  9. Well that was annoying!! Drove 70 miles to pick up a rear bumper support and it turns out that the guy had heard me wrong and proceeded to hand me a silver bumper. Have to say I wasn't impressed. Although was a nice drive and got myself a new wee head unit on the way home :D
  10. Going a wee drive to pick up new rear bumper support :D Everything is starting to come together now :)

  14. I'm on the Rock side, and on a long sunday drive nothing beats Pink Floyds cruising along,. but to get my blood pumping would be Five Finger Death Punch, Rammstein, Machine Head taking my car down to the Download Music Festival this year so will be rocking the whole way!! just now this cracker of a song!! Blood by Priestess
  15. Hey man, How you? I use a garage called Automek in East Kilbride. The guy is brand new and they are seriously hard worker and best of all do not rip you off what so ever. If you have a Japanese car especially this is the place to go. Here is a link to their Facebook page so you can see some of the work he has done. https://www.facebook.com/AutomekEK?ref=ts&fref=ts He has worked on my Subaru and has a great following of other Jap car owners. Cant recommend him enough. One of the nicest and most honest person you'll meet, especially in the car trade. Hope this helps you mate,
  16. Finally after trawling the internet and various stores all the bits and pieces have arrived and I can begin to make my changes. However as this is Scotland the weather has decided to change and start raining, Cant wait to begin though. Get her looking her best again is my plan.
