  2. We have 2 whippets (Jesse and teddie-blue), a cat (scooby, after the dog not the car lol) and 10 saltwater fish and corals. Sorry no pic of scooby Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. There are a few 'want cars on my list' none of them that fast. Mustang (as above) being one. 1950's Chevy pickup, hot rod ford pop. That style of car. But on a quick car way, props a modded skyline or similar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  4. Good thread. For me it would be 'Elenor'. Might not be the fastest car in the world, although quite quick, but very cool Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. Are hondas really that bad. I thought the type r were a quick car? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. Gear changes feel fine. This is my first high performance car, excluding (back in the day) 309 gti, Astra gte etc, but first turbo car. so just want to keep on top of things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. Cheers. And I guess they will advice me of which oil to use?
  8. Nice one thanks guys. My car is at 54000 miles. Will check the service history and see if it's be done. If I can't find any info, I'll just do it. Well if 30000 is the make then it's pretty close to having it done for the second time anyway. Thanks again. Very helpful place. Glad I joined. [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Hi all, some of you might know, I've just done an engine oil change to my 2005 WRX and it got me thinking about the gearbox and diff oils. How often should these be changed? Are they difficult jobs to do? The cluch was changed in January (before I bought it), should they have changed the gearbox oil then? many thanks
  10. I know what you mean. Had mine a couple of months now and the same thing. Only I get cussed of by the wife for leaving the f*****s behind lol
  11. Thanks. So my little 285bhp could be 290 now? Happy days
  12. That's the black one I've got, in the picture. But the blue one that was on the car is narrower in diameter. The seals are the same size and the black one screws on perfectly. ???
  13. Don't think it's a Subaru part. I ordered it from my local car parts supplier, they have never let me down yet. I've still got the box, I'll have a look later and see what make it is.
  14. Thanks I was getting a bit worried. I put it on as my gut told me it was right. And no leaks. Happy days
  15. Hi all i have a 2005 wrx. I've done an oil change, but the filer on the car is a blue one, while the one I bought is black and the black one is larger in size. I took the old blue one off to see any other differences, but none the oil seals are the same size and the new one screws in the same. Have I got the wrong filter? many thanks
  16. Hi scotty, where in Devon are you?
  17. Hi just thought I'd get this thread going again. Was there much interest in any member meeting in the southwest? im in west Dorset, but if Dartmoor etc is too far, I would be happy to go the other directions.
  18. Thanks guys. That helps a lot.
  19. hi all, now I guess this question could open a can of worms, but....... i need a couple of front tyres for my wrx. I'm not a racer, I don't go to tracks, just normal every day driving with the occasional faster driving (as the law states for Impreza owners lol). What would you recommend? P zero nero's are currently on there now. many thanks
  20. Piggysniffer it was £420 all in. I think it was worth every penny.
  21. Thanks guys. Well worth it! That's as far as the car will go for me. Unless parts really need to be change through break downs.
  22. Update Firstly massive thanks to Tidgy, to explain i bought my car on the assumption that is was std except prodrive exhaust, so 225 bhp. Have been to the suggested garage that Tidgy recommended to me. On arrival I knew buy the amount of scoobys there I was at the right place. Left the car with martin for a couple of hours, he then tells me the car was producing 250 bhp. Fantastic I thought, over the moon even. He continued to tell me they have remapped it and the car is now producing 284.4 bhp. Absolutely amazed!! More than I ever thought. And the power is very noticeable and much smoother pick up. The guys at Plymouth have done a fantastic job and I would highly recommend them. Well worth the 3 hour round trip. Will go to them again for belt changes etc. also he gave me a tour of the garage, what a place to work. More like a playground.
  23. Cheers. They do seem to be very good and knowledgeable about it all. And looking at their pics on their website, looks like they have had quite a few scoobys there :-). All sounds good
  24. Update my local garage has had a reply from Italy, they sent the 'log file' to them and they have come back saying the chip has be locked using ecutek software. So we all guess that the car might have been remapped before. Ive spoke to engine tuner as they use the ecutek software and I'm booked in at the end of the month. I think he's going to see what the car is producing and then maybe remap it again to get a 'proper' job done lol thanks for all the help again
