  1. Hi guys, well this idea has been going around in my head for a while, so thought I'd see who might be interested. I live near a costal town of Bridport/west bay (20 or so miles west of Weymouth) and over many years a lot of the local bikers will drive the costal routes stopping at many of the costal towns for a cuppa (Lyme Regis, west bay, Weymouth, Poole quay) and it's quite a sight to see so many bikes (even though I'm not and never will be a biker lol). So I was wondering if any of you would be interested in doing something similar over a weekend or 2 during spring/summer? Maybe from Southampton to sidmouth. Open to suggestions. I think it would be quite a spectacle to see a load of scoobys in convoy. Many thanks
  2. Think I've seen that measurement mentioned on here before. Thanks for all your help [emoji106]
  3. Lol but what gap should they be? Haha
  4. I think that the ones I've got [emoji1]. You're a fountain of knowledge tidgy. Wish I lived closer to pick you brains lol. Sorry for all question, here's another lol. What's the best gap for spark plugs? Or straight out of box?
  5. Wow! Just had a quick look at the price. Gonna have to save up lol. Now she also got me some new spark plugs. I said get ngk, which she did, but which ones are best? And I believe they don't have ht leads? Are they coil packs? Should I change these too?
  6. Sounds great. Will look into the cost. Only thing, my better half just got me a couple of standard discs for Christmas. And a full set of brake pads. Think I best use them up first lol. Keep her sweet and all that lol.
  7. Great info, thanks tidgy. I might just leave it at the power it's at then (unless the gearbox goes bang lol). Will look into the brakes. All these upgrade will happen when things need to be replaced. Brakes are good at the mo. Again I don't drive like a loony all the time. So should be good for a while. Thanks again.
  8. Hi all just wanted to see if there are many members from Dorset here and wondered if there are any scheduled meets? Thanks
  9. Excellent! Now some of you may ask, why not just get an sti? When I was looking for one, I didn't and still don't like the rear spoiler of an sti. Yes I could've changed it. I kinda like the 5 speed (unless anyone can convince me otherwise) and I like the 'under dog'. What I don't like is people who have a, let's say, focus and then badge it up to look like an st but it's only got a 1.6L. What's the point? I prefer, let's say, WRX and no one know what under the bonnet. Gives a bit of a surprise. Again yes I could de badge an sti. But why would you lol. Anyway I made my choice and I'm very happy with it. Initially I wasn't looking to chase bh numbers, but there are a few quick bmw's in the area that need a lesson taught. That's my excuse lol. So a quick question on brakes. I kinda like my standard wheels and as yet haven't experienced brake fade that I hear a lot about. But then again I don't rag it everywhere. Now with the 285bh I have and possible future 300+bh, maybe I should upgrade the brakes. Should I change wheels to 18" or stick with 17"? I've read 18" can handle the power better? If I stick with 17's is there a good upgrade from stock? Do the discs really need changing or could I just get away with changing the stock callipers? Again thanks for all the help.
  10. Nah... about an hours work... need to remove the back seats, remove the panel to access the top of the fuel tank, pull off the hoses, unbolt it and lift the whole unit out. Once the whole unit is out it's just a straight swap as the plug is the same. Then do the reverse and you're done! Sounds good. A job I can do when I change the rear shocks. Would the ecu need to be mapped for a different pump? And many more questions to follow lol
  11. True. Is it a difficult job to change them?
  12. Hi all. I'm after a bit of advice about my fuel pump. I've got a 2005 blob wrx. When I got it I was under the impression it was standard except a prodrive exhaust. On further investigation I've noticed the car has prodrive intercooler hoses. I took the car to Plymouth to see what bhp it had and to remap if possible (soon after I got it) they told me it was at 250bhp and they remapped it to 285bhp. I've since contacted prodrive and they had no records of my car and suggested I contact Subaru uk, which I did. They phoned me and told me the same. So I'm unsure if my car had a complete ppp. My understanding of the ppp is it came with exhaust (back box and decat mid section) intercooler hoses, fuel pump upgrade and remap. I've not had the chance to check the centre cat, but it would appear that it did have a remap (before I got it). Now I'm looking to the future and if my turbo should pack up my plans are to get a bigger turbo (td05 or vf35), pink injectors, upgrade tmic, and fuel pump. But if the possible prodrive upgrade has been done, maybe I won't need to change the fuel pump. Is there a way I can tell if the pump has been changed? Any visual differences? I only have basic tools and not a trained mechanic. My objective in the future would be to get the car over the 300hp mark. Many thanks
  13. That's how I like them. Standard looking, but loads of power!!
  14. Lol savage! How many horses you got under there?
  15. Ok thanks. Still trying to decide what to do with my wheels. Not sure which way to go. Will let you know, if ok? Thanks
  16. Hi do you still have bits for sale? I'm looking for a set of fog lamp covers and a lower front grille for a 2005 blobeye.
  17. Do you by any chance have a set of fog lamp covers?
  18. On a nice sunny frosty morning, took dogs for a walk, which meant much small A road and B road driving. Never got faster than 60 really, but the fun in first 3 gears made me fall in love again lol
  19. +1 on that Mr B
  20. Middle lane drivers grrrrrrr. Don't get me started lol Agree, using the phone while driving is a daily occurrence and can't be policed. I know the point for it are going up this year, but I don't think that will stop it.
  21. I would suggest change air filter and then get a remap. That can add quite a bit more oomph.
  22. Just one thing that might be overlooked. You mentioned you will travel to sw London. Not sure where, but I believe there are take (might be in place all ready) about allowing diesels into London. Also I know there are certain restriction of what cars are allowed inside the m25. Might wanna check that out before anything else. Older subarus might not meet the requirements.

  24. Ahh!! Is GTA cross platform?
