  7. Do we have anyone around my way that knows abit about these cars?? and would be willing to have a quick look at mine. I have just had the header fixed, but when driving I have noticed that there is a small noise when my foot is on the accelerator. almost like a sucking noise. It might be nothing and 1-2 jubilee clips were loose on the intake and I have just nipped them up. My worry is it could be detonation, and I dont want to be driving it causing any problems! The noise is happening even at 1krpm, does this rule det out? Another thing I have noticed is when taking ,my foot completely off of the accelerate there is a small knock on the back end. All in all I know flip all about these cars and if anyone is near, local or even passing and can call in, then give me a shout cheers! I am going to ring richard henry now to get it booked in for the full service asap.

  18. @Will I had the E60 530d m sport, was running 300bhp and 705nm, so it defiantly moved! pics just to show. I have bought the one in this thread . Theres no history, needed breaks and subframe sorting. Brakes and frame done, MOT done but now header has a hole in, which is being sorted monday. Then its in for a full service including cambelt and a remap as I have no idea who mapped it before.
  19. swapped me wheel nuts for petrol ones (the multicoloured ones!)
  20. Yes mate isnt a scoob, just a !Removed! :D Will find out today!
  21. in all honesty if I was going diesel id be going german! I had a E60 530d and in 2 years it cost me £55 for thermostats, that was it. and I only did that to increase MPG. Merc offer some lovely diesels, and to be honest nowadays, you cant go wrong with a kia!
  22. he posted up a copy of the receipt aswell, 800+ in labour. The thread on facebook has hundreds of comments as well. Hopefully someone from the clinic see it and offer the companys side of the story. As said above, all my garage do if there are problems is ring me and advise of what they can do and what it will cost etc.
  23. yeh I am not sure its true, i asked him to put his receipt on facebook and he said he will when he gets home
  24. Just saw this on the impreza group on facebook, !Removed! hell if its true thats ridiculous!! Hi everyone, don't post on here that much but just like to know what people think of my latest visit to Scoobyclinic. I took my RB320 for its service which was quoted at £262. Whilst it was there I asked them to fit my my new discs and pads all round which I supplied myself. I was told it would be approx £55+vat to fit them. About 5 hours later they told me they snapped a caliper bolt and I was going to get the car back the next day. 5 days later and with no update from them except when I called them to be told it's in the process of being done I got a call to pick the car up. When I got there I got a bill for £1217 and was told it was because they snapped 3 bolts. I was absolutely shocked and they never rang me to say they were having trouble with the bolts and the cost was mounting. So what I'm asking is, is it fair to charge for all that time they spent it have they overcharged for the job? Bare in mind the service was included in the final price but that makes roughly £800 to fit brake discs and pads all way round.
