  1. ohh didnt realise internal etc where different thats great thanks! Mine is a 2001 wrx, but If i can achieve 320-350 bhp I would be very happy. I know they can go to 320 but unsure if they can go to 350 on the standard internals clutch and box.
  2. Hi just a general question. Engine and power wise.what is the difference between these? by that I mean I know the wrx is around 220 and the STI around 2 What is the difference? is the block, camshafts. pistons etc the same? I think the STI has a different: Turbo TMIC injectors exhaust ECU Other then that are they the same? Can both engines be tuned to the same bhp using supporting mods? Thanks!
  3. my 2 front calipers are siezed and need a rebuild :/
  4. well brakes are sorted going for http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/package-deals-/169-front-and-rear-grooved-discs-and-kevlar-sport-pads.html plus there replica subaru calipers, exactly the same with warranty tried and tested, 395 all in for fronts and rears! ( rears is using old calipers)
  5. ahh ok, i will literally ring him every 5 minutes all day then, until he blocks my number. atleast i dont feel so bad for bugging him then!
  6. If flux are going to mess around like that I wont be going back to them with a cheaper quote, just need to try and get through to gary now, left a message this morning for a call back and tried 4-5 times since too :) Why gary? does he do the best quote? only reason I ask is they seem to have a lot of sales people there cheers.
  7. So I have a price on the scooby standard, 450 quid. I have just got a price from flux at 795 quid! this ios with coilovers, STI intewrcooler and a miltec exhaust system. Can any 1 reccomend any 1 else to try for insurance with mods? I am 29, 11 years no claims bonus, my 300bhp beemer is only 375 quid fully comp for the year!!
  8. really appreciate the replys guys, so the standard turbo defiantly wont do the job? I saw one turbo offof a 65k impreza on the bay for 450 ish, theres loads of cheap ones but unless people have tried and tested I will stay away as there normally !Removed!!
  9. And just saw im too late, boooo palmolive for me!
  10. Local meets and the odd supercar meet for charity, in the beemer though, dont get the scoob till the weekend, it could do with a good polish though! got flux calling me back this morning at 9.10 for a quote, hope its a good one!
  11. would they be anywhere near as good as the 8 pots though? Im hoping you say yes to save me some coin haha!
  12. so with the 2 litre 2000-2007 engine, turbod, what is needed to boost it to around 300bhp? or what is a decent level to boost it to? My beemer was 300bhp and 720nm, it was fast ish but I am wanting the scoob to be similar if possible I am thinking an STI intercooler, Decat, 255lph fuel pump, manual boost gauge or avcr, uprated iridium plugs and a remap? Am I missing something? whats a standard clutch good for? Also are there any other decent big brake kits cheaper then the K sport 8 pots? Once I have my scoob I will start a build thread etc, and look to become a paid member cheers!

I think you can buy CD's on ebay with exhaust noises etc, that might do it! Personally I would either get a nur spec R or go to powerflow and get a full system to your taste for 350 quid!
  14. your going about 5 minutes away from me gambit, id say lets meet up and you can show me your scoob, but after seeing your profile picture no thanks! LOL
  15. yeah it looks nice, what i will do is get a garage to quote on doing all the work for me, then decide if its worth it or not. My car is getting picked up tonight so I am good to buy any time from tomorrow.
  16. Claire ive messaged you my number, interested in buying it and only in doncaster thanks
  17. well looks like the car will be going later, but abit less then what I wanted. It will leave me around 2300 for a new car, I think I might hit the subaru nail on the head as I dont think that we get me anything half decent, thats pretty nippy as well :/ I dont want to get something I am going to need to keep spending on, but wanted something fun as I only do 100 ish miles a week!
  18. that looks lovely!!
  19. Yeah my idea with a scoob is a daily runner doing 14 miles per day 5 per week, and they I can use it on the track every now and again also. Our lass has a disco for our family car.
  20. problem is im coming from a 300 bhp 520ft/lb bmw, does 0-60 in around 5 and has hit 170 mph! :D
  21. cheers mark, looks decent just need my beemer to sell first! I dont think I could go for a NA one, I am guessing it would be very very slow?
  22. Thanks! I was thinking that if I could get a standard low owner unabused model it could be better, I can always do the mods myself as I want to then. I am going to look into model changes next and what years are what etc, is there a page on here that explains it all or is wiki my best way? thanks'!
  23. Hey guys! I have just found the club through google, I dont own a subaru yet, but I am looking at selling my car to pay some debts off and it will leave me around £2500 to spend on a car. I am thinking of an impreza. Dont know what I can get for this budget or if it is even worth it. But I guess thats why I have signed up to try and find out! Cheers!
