  1. Thanks man...👍 Will be looking into a small underseat active sub... Remap first tho 😝
  2. Guys the pioneer head unit I'm getting only has 2 preouts, will that be enough to run a sub n amp...?? cheers
  3. Just finished the install there... very happy with the results, need to get rear speakers now and possible a sub and amp, it's all still running off the std head unit so I'm expecting improvements when l get the pioneer head unit in... was not difficult at all, however I done the intercooler Y pipe first and the kit that was sent was no where near fitting, so l had to modify that 😡😡, all in all a good day for the car 😊
  4. Glad to hear they sound great..!!! mine come on Monday, gonna try getting them fitted next weekend 😊
  5. Thanks for the info linx... i have ordered a set of alpine spg-13c2 look like good reviews and l have also ordered spacers and speaker connectors from eBay.. should be here Monday, will get them fitted prior to santa brining my head unit... looking forward to it.... 😊
  6. Thanks buddy, l really appreciate that...!!
  7. Will do Dave...! Looking forward to getting it all installed.. I called a place today to ask how much for fitting as it would save me time ect... £170 lolol Actually burst out laughing at him I think ill just brave the cold and dark and do them... Brendan
  8. I ended up going with these... https://www.alpine.co.uk/p/Products/type-g-speakers375/spg-13c2 Ive ordered the fitting kit aswel, only gonna do the front for now and the rears after Christmas... Any opinions on these guys...? Brendan
  9. How do they sound over stock buddy...? Im not looking for amazing clarity ect... Just the ability to turn the GBX up a little lol Brendan
  10. How do they sound over stock...? Brendan
  11. Thats awesome buddy, exactly what l was looking for...!!! So from the pics you just drilled 3 new holes not far from the original holes then speakers straight into adapters...? No window issues...? Are you running them off stock head unit and that is why you need an amp...? Thanks buddy :) Brendan
  12. Evening guys, Done a lot of reading on the subject of speaker upgrades... The reason being, l think Santa may have a double din touchscreen head unit in his sack for me... So i know my model has 6 1/2" front and 4" rear, I know that aparently its a very shallow gap... Now here is where im getting confused... I am reading different stories about needing and not needing a mounting bracket, some are 1" some are 1/2", having never fitted speaker before l can not imagine why...? Again from what im reading, its to do with the window, surely if you add 1" to the overall size of the speaker that would be worse...? Secondly, can anyone recomend speakers, nothing too fancy or expensive, just a nice sound... Also if l need adapters, what size and where to buy from.. Thanks in advance guys.. Brendan
  13. Hi buddy, l went ahead and ordered 1 yesterday from eBay, it's red but if l had seen your post before ordering l would have snapped it up... l appreciate the offer 😊
  14. Thanks man... I know where to go and what to use in the VW/Audi world, Subaru is a whole different world tho lol Looking forward to it, will report back in a couple of weeks... Brendan
  15. Thats not good dude.... I really dont know what my alternative would be..? I have done as much checking on his rep and spoke to him at length, followed his FB page to see what is going through his buisness for a while now aswel... Failing going to Andy F l dont see a better option as everyone else would be performing the same procedure... If anyone can correct me and or provide personal experience with this garage, l would really appeciate it.. If anyone fanceies looking at his site here is the URL: https://dynatune.co.uk/ Brendan
  16. Its a live map buddy... The term flashing is just how the software is written to the memory on the ECU..? Would all mapper not need to use this technique or am l missing something..? Brendan
  17. Yes many times.... He just done an STI last week, i just had quite a long conversation with him there, he has lots of jap cars in, there is a 687bhp skyline video on his website... I think im happy with it, Andy Forrest is a few months wait and everyone else will be of a similar nature Brendan
  18. Making me nervous now... I just spoke to him, it will be a live map on the road done using open source software... There will be no dyno time as his is only 2wd, so ill will need to goto my local rolling road if l want a printout... Brendan
  19. Yeah i have read a lot about Andy Forrest, unfortunately he is booked for many months into the future lol I have had a good look through their website and spoke with the owner, read lost of positive feedback from owners of various cars, i feel ok with it if i am being honest.. Brendan
  20. I think there is open source maps available that you do not need a licence for..? This is my first scoob so its all a learning curve atm... Brendan
  21. Dynapack DAQ5 chassis dynamometer, aka rolling road, the only hub dyno currently in commercial use in Scotland. Thats from their website... Its a hub Dyno, looks pretty cool, done the rolling road on all my previos cars... These guys come with a great rep and they are round the corner from my new house.. I think its £240 all in...
  22. I would be fine with that also... I would rather have safe boost rather than pushing to the absolute limit... My absolute goal is 300bhp, but l know that is many mods later.... Brendan
  23. I was looking into the walbro and l think l will definetly get it done, however funds are a little tight and l know l should do the pump first, but from the research l have done l think it will be ok at this power and do the pump along with injectors in the new year...? Brendan
  24. Just the std TD04 buddy, wont be going down bigger Turbo route, its my daily and l do a 45 mile round trip per day.. Its costing enough lol Brendan
  25. Dyna Tune in East Kilbride... Heard and read nothing but good things... Brendan
