  2. Haha my bad thought it was monday today. Still makes life a little easier
  3. I was aiming to get to next weeks but i'll be pushing it for seven, prob closer to 8 by the time i've finshed doing what i need to do
  4. Hi mate thats mine lol, just using it as a pointer as to the two connections and as to what the looked like. It's the only two on the car i can see that match his :-)
  5. http://www.subarupartsstore.co.uk/product/Roof_Spoiler_E721ESA000 New ones here mate too
  6. Try import carparts 76quid will buy a brand new one, they are notorious for going rusty so if yiu can stretch i'd buy new at least you won't have any problems Or have a peek through the many pages from this seller http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Grade-A-Subaru
  7. Need a legacy owner to id part my pas pump fluid sits up above that on mine. Can't work out what it connects to only connector i have that i can see is for cat overheat sensor ? Is his a n/a car ?
  8. I wanted to make sure as his wheel is on other side :-)
  9. Cant help you there i'm afraid. Can you post a bigger pic of the engine bay. What side is that on ?
  10. Thats not very exciting :-( much better if it did something like eject people or shoot flames. Odd if it is an alarm switch for it to be a rocker and not a spring loaded switch. Looks like your gonna have to press it and see :-) I'd still go with some after market power adapter. Have you tried to chase the connection back ?
  11. Subaru decided it would be a good idea to have an odb style port but use completly different software. All jap cars pre odb2 used something i can't remember the name of, you can get a scanner but they cost over a ton. As gambit says theres should be 4 diagnostic plugs a little further back from the port you were playing with. I'd paste the guide link in but i'm on my phone :-( Maybe a flat ish battery, i'd either hook it up to a charger for a couple hours or go for a nice long run with your side lights on see if that cures it. Cheapest options first. As for idle at start up it should idle high then drop to 750ish takes a couple of mins. If charging the battery hasn't cured it you could try the un plug maf sensor test. Not exactly a very scientific test but if you un plug it whilst the car is running it should stall. If not it's a bit dodgy and needs replacment.
  12. What time is it ? Theres a chance i could make it for an hour depending.
  13. Balls not enough notice, i thought it was a saturday :-(
  14. Press it, press it ! It's a new one on me, do you have anything aftermarket in the glovebox ? Or any interior lights that have been added ? Is it a rocker type swiitch or a push on push off type ? Do you have the 12v aux socket in the boot ? Maybe its to make that perm live or for some incar entertainment
  15. Ooh which rota's are they ? Get a pic i'm looking at upping the size of my wheels but the rota's will be too pricy would be good to see what they look like once on
  16. Look a bit odd in place of spoiler :-D If it stays dry may get to wash it later
  17. I'm no expert when it comes to anything tyre/wheel related so don't hold me to anything ! looks like the sti forester used 225/45/18 so like you say should be ok. Just watch the offset as the rears may rub :-)
  18. 45'S would give you more 'comfort' but it depends on if that takes it over the rim+ tyre size of the 16" plus profile, i take it your on a 60 profile at the mo ? Obviously the speedo will read wrong if you go over the radius, i've heard the diff not liking it either but that may iust be the internet talking
  19. I was gonna say are there any plans for a national meet ? Like last year but with more people this time :-D
  20. Boo :-( grey cold and misty here no wash or polish so off to asda instead. So much for hotter than the med as predicted by the met office
  21. I had trouble getting the top mounts off my shocks once as you need to hold the lower body and prevent it from rotating with the compressor on while undoing the top nut. Can be tricky. Do you have local garage/shop you can visit easily ? I ended up taking the whole shock to the local shop and paying a a small amount and got them to put it on their static machine. What took me an hour on the rear shocks was a 2 min job on the front
  22. http://youtu.be/wWOEnU6UJ0o closest i can find for subarus I guess they sound horrible at low speed and Get better when up to speed ?
  23. Uk spanner = US wrench :-) same thing A torque wrench would be a good thing to get hold of too
