  1. Haha, shell garage is just round the corner so i'll chuck some more of my hard earned into her tomorrow
  2. I'm seeing how much i can get out of the last portion of a tank before the light comes on. Trouble is i've been driving around all day with it on zero and the light hasn't come on. I know the gauge may read slightly out, i just don't want to look like a tit when i've run out as i've been waiting for a light that may not be there :)
  3. You're supposed to take it out of gear 1st mate ;-). Or living in part of the country with no hills isn't doing your physique any good !
  4. And again but looking from on top. Would appear to be attached to the rear of the block or the pipework for tge turbo ? Could be different for those with smaller coolers ?
  5. Left hand bracket looking back towards the front of car
  6. haha, :P clearly see how horrible it is underneath, word of warning to anyone who's never removed the i/c before be very careful i was holding it around the edges and still managed to damage the fins underneath with a wayward finger, didn;t realise how soft they are !
  7. with i/c back on
  8. dunno if this helps but i took a pic of mine when i took the i/c off the other day in case i couldn't get bits back together, bracket on the right and above the turbo, may be different on impreza engines
  9. Anyone uprated their speakes ? Mine have perished and i'm looking for suitable replacement. 6.5 front 4.0inch rear ta
  10. https://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/app/enquiry?execution=e1s2 Refuses to bring any details up i'd be a bit wary.
  11. What's the odometer showing ? Kms or miles ? Steering Wheel looks like an import as correct me if i'm wrong but i think that they have the subaru logo on instead of a momo branding
  12. Lol and wrx sticker on boot lid. Any interior pics ? Would be even easier to tell
  13. Front badge indicate import too. What's with the size of the rear plate is it just the picture or is the spacing wrong ? Has the rear bumper been replaced or have the cut it to fit uk size number plate
  14. As there anywhere that has a comprehensive gude to subaru knock ? I've searched and many different things and peope have said this and that. I'm prob being paranoid but as the baby due date approaches i keep hearing more and more little noises that are making my wallet wince. She's always slapped a little on start up and goes away once warm but the last couple of days the slap has gone away but she sheems to be a little louder and there is a little rythmical clatter which hasn't gone away. My daily commute is only 2 miles and i've been driving this week due to running around. Maube she's not warm enough, or sounding different due to the damp weather. Boosts fine and no horrible noises around 2k and above
  15. I guess any model will be the same up untill 2000 ?
  16. Gambit, Don't hold me to this but it looks like all jap cars from around 94-99. They use the obd style port as an interface . Is there anyone on here with a uk spec classic we could ask to confirm ?
  17. While looking around i've just answered my own question for anyone with a my99 or below you will need a ps701 diagnostic tool. And they are about a ton so if i need to i'll just stick to counting the flashes of the CEL
  18. Just found this form anhone who's interested. Still woun't work on my98 or below http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/65-parts-accessories-performance/39426-freessm-complete-access-your-ecm-tcu.html
  19. This is what's confusing me. The wiring at the back doesn't add up to the number of pins. I'll see if i can get a new on . Thanks for the help :)
  20. any problems in changing the interior bulbs for led festoon ones ? mine are a bit dull
  21. cheers, being a 97 i thought it may be compliant, i'm just a little confused as to the port, i think i have the sets of leads under the dash too as i found a group of about 4 the other day. i'll have a dig around tomorrow, did the subaru own system attach into the 16 pin port then ? just out of interest what port/amount of pins have others got on 98/99 models?
  22. hi ! my sf had it's wind deflectors fitted in the uk so i'll dig the paperwork out and see what the invoices says for you
  23. bought a cheap scanner off the bay, finally found out that it won't read my ecu as it's an elm32 protocol and early obd isn't compatible, so i had a hunt round for odb1. but the access port under the dash conflicts this as it would appear to be obd2, so further investigation led me to think i was ok and just needed a different scanner, from what i read it isn't odb2 so i'm confused as hell, i can't work out if mine's been butchered or not as the picture shows it's a bit mangled i have pin 1 4,5 12 & 13 but it looks like someone attacked it with a screwdriver, the loom at the back has at least a dozen wires running into it, does anyone have a clue as to what it is or can point me in the right direction, as the pin configuration doesn't relate to any of the protocols in use, did subaru use their own system before the wordwide acceptance of a standardized system ? found this but i'm still in the dark http://www.obdii.com/connector.html#dates
  24. Now a job for tomorrow too many cans this eve.
