  1. Many thanks I'll take mine off tomorrow and have a measure. The hose/pipe stuff I'm looking at is fairly solid, I can't recall seeing a vacuum take off before, I'll see if I can find a pic I took a while back, got told by somone on another forum some of the foz stuff matches up to v4/5 components, Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks for that sav, just the flexi. Tempted to start replacing it all with silicone stuff as and when sfs do a couple so been looking is yours a 90mm ?
  3. I'm just buying online so I don't want to end up with the wrong one. I don't know what version impreza mine corresponds to.i'm guessing 97/98 is ver 3/4 ?

  7. Had to go to work today so saat there for 6 hours looking at all the nasty swirl marks dull paint, by the time I got home it started to rain so no wash/wax for me [emoji25] Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  8. Hello, welcome as pommy says the more people we can get together the better. Where abouts in north yorks are you coming from ? Theres some of us meeting in leeds and some out in cas, your welcome to come down and we'll all go up or if it's easier we could meet closer to squires [emoji16] Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  9. I think my airbox hose is on its way out, looking very brittle around the jubilee clips to the point where it's splitting. Done the soapy water test and it's inconclusive sometimes bubbles other times not, How do I find out what size mine is ? Do I measure the internal diameter, extrnal diameter or the end of the maf housing to get the size I'm guessing i's not gonna be 76 mm so tha narrows it down a bit
  10. I've got guests round so won't be on forza tonight
  11. 5 feet will be plenty, route it then chop back what you don't need. Nothing worse than coming up short. It will need to go from roughly manifold towards strut tower avoiding turbo, down the back of the firewall, and through, theres a rubber bung half way down, push a skewer through it, if you lift the mat out of the drivers side and look at the pedals the it should be poking through :-) then up the back of dash to pillar
  12. Undo lines from the calipers ome at a time , pump pedal, obviously have a container to catch the fluid that comes out l. Then suck out anything thats left in the reservoir with a turkey baster or suction gun. When you refill the system and bleed the brakes it will clear the resg of the old stuff out
  13. Never mix dot 5 with any of the others it's silicone based and destroy everything ! The others can be used together but it's advisable to drain completely if your using more than a little bit to top off. Th others are glycol based if I remember hence why it strips paint. The main difference between the different dot's is the dry and wet boiling points. Dot 5.1 being the higest and best for fast & heavy repetitive braking
  14. Dot 4 is a repalcment for dot 3 which isn't widely available these days, it's made up of the same stuff if I remember correctly, It's dot5 and 5.1 you cant mix [emoji3] Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  15. Bot tyres got the same amount of wear on ? Have you cchecked the pas fluid condition & level? Shouldn't be a cause of this but you never know, Maybe just a quirk of the car, I used to havea transit that would start to go mental at 70 over 75 and it would settle down again, never found out what it was but it wss main dealer serviced every year so couldn't have been anything dangerous Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  16. Much beter, what olour are you going for ? I like the contast as it is now Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  17. P.s get some pics up [emoji16] Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  18. Hello, sorry to here the bad news with cooking the engine, it should be fine, where has the doner engine come from ? Without looking up the engine code for the new lump couldn't tell you if it's a uk, or jdm, you may want to get it mapped if it's a uk engine as it will be slightly less powerful than yours and the ecu may be trying to fuel it in regards to what was in there before, I could be wrong but hopefully one of our members who's done swaps before will be able to tell you more Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  19. Still can't see but managed to read off email. Fans usually controlled by a thermo switch, that tells them to cycle on and off. Its normally located on or near the thremostat housing, should look like a brass nut with wires coming off it. I'd check this as may be faulty, normally when dead they don't come on at all. Maybe it's an earthing issue, maybe check your fuses too before changing the switch
  20. Is it always there or disappear when warm? Did you put the heatsheild back on after changing the downpipe, Maybe come loose ?
  21. it's a company called borla That do them, seen some of there stuff on mx5's sounded ok and quality looked half decent. Just had a check and they retail in the states for $500 ish so about 350 plus shipping. The unequal length headders are wahts used to extract the exhaust gasses from the engine to the exhaust, as the subaru is a flat 4 engine layout the manifold comes out either side of the block as you look at it with the turbo cars one side is shorter tban the other to take into account the route to the turbo. With the n/a cars this isn't needed so they come out and go into a y shape to the cats and the 2 sides are the same length. So no throb from the exhaust but equal length have smother gas extraction so in theory better bhp Sorry if this os teaching you to suck eggs :-D
  22. Need some business cards with logo and address we can dish out [emoji16] Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah mate, essiest way is to come past elland road and take the next junction of m621 it brings you to a set of lights and hafrauds is on the left [emoji16] Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  24. You won't get the burble as the sport has equal length headers so you'd need to change them 1st Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
