  1. Nice one mate! I’m new to the Subaru scene, I’ve had a history of Toyota, Audi and BMW and just bought my first a Rex 2 months ago. I wouldn’t mind a wee trip to visit Andy Forrest at some stage to get some advice!
  2. Hi, i have noticed my rear passenger side bearing is gone/going 🙄 what a nightmare! i have been quoted everything from £80-£200 labour only by local garages, does this sound about right? Im in the Edinburgh/Borders area, does anyone know of/work in a garage that can help me out?? Haha thanks :)
  3. Ahh okay, that does seem to make sense! It’s currently running some poor man’s bov and I was getting a bit worried if it was going to break/lose power in the long run! There is a chap selling a turbosmart supersonic at a reasonable price and I have sourced an OEM replacement too. What would you recommend is best? A run in the summer sounds amazing, thanks for the invite :) what is it that you drive?
  4. Hi, so my 2005 WRX has a !Removed! vent to atmosphere BOV. Yeah you get the psshhh noise but does it affect health/performance of the engine? Is there any benefits to having one at all or shall I source a OEM part? Thanks Andy
  5. Hahaha perfect, I was a member of the MR2 owners club before and they were quite strict on postings! thanks for the reply :) I actually already have the STI back box on the car, one of the first things I got! but I appreciate the reply anyway 👍🏻👍🏻
  6. Hi, I am quite new to this forum, so please don’t give me too much hate! I’ve recently bought my first Subaru, a black blobeye WRX which is almost completely standard :) I am looking for any used WRX or STI parts or upgrades that people are looking to sell/give away (no matter how small!) to refresh my car a little. If you have anything that is lying around which isn’t getting used or has been replaced or upgraded, I am more than happy to take it off your hands (I’ll pay for shipping). Just pop a message below and let me know what you have (and how much you are wanting for it) and i’ll let you know if I need it :) thanks guys
  7. Ideal, I’ll get some remapping looked at. I think I’m quite close to Andy Forrest tuning , so I might give him a try. thanks!
  8. Perfect. thanks for the reply, as I say I have now owned both and really wasn’t sure on the results. I had a better start and he pulled up at the end, guess this is the benefits of 4 wheel drive! Does anyone have any suggestions on quick and simple/cheap ways to make my Rex faster? thanks :)
  9. Hi, I’m new to the Subaru world and bought my 2005 WRX saloon just 2 months ago! I love the thing and with 75,000 miles on it, she is going well! Nice and stock! however, today I found myself in a ‘race’ at the lights with a MK2 MR2 turbo. It was wet conditions and as I say, my car is stock. It was pretty much a head to head the entire way, is this to be expected? i have done my research (being a previous MR2 owner helps) and it seems the cars are closely matched on a roll from 10. Does this sound about right? I just want to make sure my car isn’t a lemon/down on power :) thanks for your help :)
