  1. Happened to me last winter with my old Forester, Nationwide windscreens did a god job with the glass but botched up the trim on the right side of the screen. Lost said trim on A1M just south of Stevenage. Crack propagated from a small stone chip across the bottom of the screen interesting to watch it grow. Glad for laminated screens as the older toughened screen would have shattered leaving the car full of glass and vulnerable to the local lowlife scum.

Used to own this 2.5 N/A V70. Best bargain ever. Had it for 6 1/2 years and only paid £650 for it. Now have a 1999 Forester 2.0 and my latest 02 outback H6 3.0.
  3. Do other Subaru owners get stopped by strange people demanding you sell them your car. If so how do you deal with it. Seems to be White Van Man around here.
  4. This is my second Subaru after being a Volvo owner for years, guess I like reliable cars (last Volvo cost £650 and I drove it daily for 6 1/2 years) so the Subaru seemed to be a good idea. The old Forester is still with me but leaks oil at an alarming rate but runs well, sadly a bit under powered with a N/A 2 litre engine. It will be repaired and I will be keeping it. Just love the 4 wheel drive grip! Going to pop the engine out to make the repairs easier for my ageing body. The H6 engine in the outback is great smooth and enough power for me, my son on the other hand wants to modify it with turbos and what ever he finds. But at the moment I just want to enjoy the car as is.
