Another Forester... Different Country

thanks chaps.... the question is, should it put me off the purchase of an otherwise quite tidy car! Having owned a Discovery in the past, my pet hate is electrical issues!!

:D Depend if you use it have a Freelander that I've read is notorious for it's sun roofs leaking and going faulty. And as you would guess it's one of the lucky 1000's that does it so I just don't use the sunroof infact I've disconnected it so it can't be opened :) Thought it would be the safest way as it doesn't shut :D

From memory, mine used to do it. Stopped about a third open, then another press would open it fully.

May be normal mate and a built in safety / convenience thing

If you can close it properly then it should not.

I would test it if it is leaking or not. To be honest I hate sunroofs as I always have a problem with them. From my point of view they are useless and do what they're doing to you. And they'll leak eventually. Sooner or later :D

But at least if it remains open there is a safety feature built in the Subaru`s so you can close it manually.

Were there any signs of water ingress on the headlining? If not, I'd suggest not an issue and may just be the track it runs on needs cleaning with any luck [emoji54]

Does look clean and tidy not bad milage, if I'm being honest colour isn't for me but think it's not a bad price :)

yep... not mad keen on the two-tone colour either! Seems to have been a popular combo for Foresters for a while!!

.....although I do like the dark green, and it could be a lot worse colour!!  :)

Usual stuff to look for I guess, maybe pm tlag or adam as they both have then will be able to gve o some more sepcific Info,

Tlag and Adam would be your best bet or maybe Exup. Car looks pretty good though and I noticed an Evo in the background so that would give me some confidence its someone who likes Jap cars and hopefully knows how to look after them :)
