Worst cars you've ever owned

Citroen C2 VTR 1.6 (citroens attempt at) semi auto

 

14 owners before me all had seen sense, clutch release bearing went taking out pretty much everything in the drivetrain, luckily under warranty so had £2K done courtesy of citroen.

 

Worse part was I spent 3 years not enjoying a car and convincing myself I'd made the right decision, insurance screwed me over after I bought it, and it was the first car I had with a trip computer so took even more of the fun away from driving as I constantly tried to keep it in the high 40mpg

 

Oh and someone dined the rear quarter and i never bothered to fix it.

Citroën enough said. I know Honda make good reliable cars but a little like Audi seem to attract idiot's.

I've not had many cars and wouldn't say any where actually bad. But my history anyway since that's what this thread has turned into ;)

1. L Reg Mk3 Diesel Golf n/a 1.9l

Bought for £500 with 120,000 on clock. Slow as !Removed! but definitely for the best during first couple of young, idiotic years. Foot hard to floor EVERYWHERE! Managed to spin it on a B road. Took a corner far too fast, back wheel touched the wet grass on side of road, span 1.5 times into a field. Luckily this was at night and nothing else was on the road. Good wake up call! Still, lasted me just under couple of years with no probs and had over 145,000 miles on clock when I sold it for £500. Didn't spend a penny on it apart from some new £20 brakes haha. Brilliant as a first car IMO.

2. '04 Hyundai Coupe 2.0l

This was actually surprisingly good. The steering feel was good, sounded pretty decent, had a decent interior with cruise control (still miss that!) and I think it looked great - although I ruined it with the rear lights... The Hell was I thinking? Also, just like the Golf, didn't need any work in the 2 years I owned it so was dead cheap to run.

3. 54 plate Civic Type R (EP3)

This is where it got interesting in for me. Finally in a position where I was on decent money and could afford something a bit more performance orientated and I really liked these so went for it. With my new found fortunes I also got the modding bug. Spent quite a lot of money upgrading and tidying it up. All breathing mods - exhaust, intake, manifolds etc upgraded, remap, suspension and geo set up... Did all sorts. I LOVED it. vtec, while not for everyone, I found to be great fun. And even though it wasn't as fast as a lot other cars out there (although at 250bhp when I was done it was no slouch), it felt a lot faster just because of the fuss and noise it made when I did go for it. Loved the dash mounted knob. The throttle response was immediate & great too, just felt so eager to go faster - something I took for granted until I drove a few turbo cars, including Scoobs. Felt absolutely bulletproof too, like it could be ragged 24/7 with no issues at all. Do still miss it in some ways. My only real gripe with it was the steering feel - it's electric and gives no feedback whatsoever! Took ages to get used to and never quite gave me full 100% confidence in it.
