SteveM
has anyone had any issues with the built in HID bulbs? driving last night they seemed dim and the light pattern was all over the place. wondering if the guy i bought them from fitted them aftermarket. can i revert back to normal H7 bulbs or stick with the d2r bulbs. thanks in advance
Jay762
if they are aftermarket HID kits there will be ballast resistor packs somewhere which will need to be removed prior to reverting to standard units
SteveM
they are oem. had a few kits in the past, but after more research and removing the headlight itself, all built in oem stuff. hid's do lose brightness over time, like 6 years. so replacing them.

SteveM
new bulbs arrived today and WHAT a difference! still need to de-haze the headlights at the weekend but at lights the light output is better! went for pure white 6000k bulbs :)
