ChrisD Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Good morning all, i am currently running a stock air intake system on my 03 blob, although I don't have the intake duct fitted (See below) and i have a high flow panel filter in place What I want is good sound and power, so what is best to do in terms of result and cost effectiveness. Remove the resonator next to the air filter and leave it open, not replacing the intake duct. remove the resonator and replacing the intake duct, adding in a GP moto elbow to connect the duct to the filter box or something else that you could suggest? any tips will be awesome :) thanks guys. (also if it makes any difference I have a ninja backbox and a 2.5" muffler delete straight pipe and a dump valve fitted)
Martin959 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Change for one of these... :P the sound its quite cool :D
stants Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Are you sponsored by hks Martin ? [emoji12] good but expensive. To be honest the airbox is good and will take upto 300bhp before you really need to change it. Just remove the resonator for more intake sound 2
ChrisD Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 I here the pods need proper heat shielding and such to be better than the standard panel. Also it will make my insurance go up more than its worth
ChrisD Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 And stants, do I need a new intake duct and an elbow pipe to connect, or just leave it open? Or I have even seen propose put in a speaker vent port in to open it up and direct air better
stants Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 This I don't know mate as i'm not that up on newage cars, could aways get a silicone maf to intake hose to replace the ribbed plastic bit supposed to increase intake sound to
ChrisD Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 Thanks anyway man. Maybe playing cards in the spokes for more sound is my next step, cheap mods 1
stants Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Google perrin afta-maf for an idea of the sillicone bit I was on about

Just remove the resonator for more intake sound Hahahhaha almost... but shhhhh... xD I just love HKS parts, there are properly made and the brand has as the scoobie has, some good heritage :) Plus, mine got it for 20 pounds used from eBay xD plus 10 for a new HKS filter as well :P
