charswrx
Hi, I'm thinking about getting a full set of ebc brake discs (turbo groove performance discs have been recommended for my car) and red stuff pads for my wrx. I'm on a budget but willing to pay if they are worth the money. I have read mixed reviews on both the pads and the discs. Just wanted to see if any of you have had them on your cars and if you would recommend as I don't have the money to keep switching about! Thanks :)
Tony22b
Hi I had them on my cossie before i didn;t think they were all that good, very over priced. Aztec performance do a better set of discs with Kevlar pads rough guess £125.00 all in . Thats what i put on my hawkeye.
stants
Not used them on my subatu had them on other cars they were good but the price was fairly cheap, 200 for 4 discs and green pads all round. Have a look at black diamond they come fairly highly recommend plus the price isn't too bad
Scooby Pete
You'll get mixed reviews on EBC, esp red stuff. I'm running turbo grooved discs and red stuff pads on mine. I don't have any complaints myself, however plenty of threads slagging Redstuff off.
Jay762
I have run the black diamond EBC redstuff combo before but not on a scooby - had no issues, improved braking (I did a braided hose change and bled through with 5.1 also) thought cost was fine - I also run EBC sintered pads on my bikes - vast improvement over OEM
Scooby1972
Hi have got ebc discs and green pads on my 206 gti they are as noisy as hell when pulling up so I put mtec grooved discs and pagid pads on my subaru and have been really impressed, when fitting grooved discs it's worth checking disc run out and clean hub really well before fitting disc...Phil... DaiP
I put a pair of the ebc grooved discs on my escort a good few years back. I think I used them with some mintex track orientated pads. I did a track day at Donington Park and noticed at the end of the day the surface of both front discs had crazed so I wasn't over impressed.
