I_MNL Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I was trying to get a quote for the new WRX STi 2015, but I saw the insurance company classes it as Impreza (which I believe is correct, although Subaru has dropped the name Impreza on the fast WRX) and subcategory WRX STi 2.5 Is that correct to do so? I guess the car will be insured OK? Sorry for the daft question, anyway...
JusNoGood Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 if you pm me the reg I can see how Experian have recorded it in their database if you like. I wouldn't worry too much as long as they have the vehicle reg, engine, the fact that its a sti and also the value right. 1
2015sti Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Hi , I have a 2015 wrx sti and on all the paper work and the insurance database it comes up as a 2015 Subaru impreza wrx sti type uk so that's what I have insured it as.
I_MNL Posted March 25, 2015 Author Posted March 25, 2015 Thanks for your replies. I feel better now! I haven't got the car yet, so I got a quote with a semilar vehicle I saw on magazines and used its number plate to see how the insurance system classifies it. Which is as I mentioned above

scoobyranger Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 As previously said you should be ok. I had exactly the same problem, rang 5 times to check. Even had a disagreement saying "but it's not an impreza! " lol What I did was steal someone else's 2015 reg off autotrader and asked what car it came up as on their database. So you could try that to double check. Just don't forget to change the policy to your reg before purchasing!

salsa-king Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Try gary moulson at Keith Michaels very good quote subaru specialist you'll need to pass the criteria tho. over 25 had the car/or previous car a performance car for 12months or more. etc Mine with Gary has come down every year with him. This year was only about £320 Fc with mods declared and a £350 excess. No one could come close to the same cover. Oh.. I got a quote of £319 Fc... with a £1050 Xs!!!!!!!!!!
