Theonlychoice
Hi everybody, When I bought my wrx it only came with one key, recently the key I do have seems to be playing up a bit and I'm worried it will stop working soon. Does anybody know where you can get cheap keys, I spoke to Subaru and they are quoting £250 cut and programmed
Theonlychoice
By the way. It's an 04 Impreza wagon, single button if that matters. Loved Scoobys since I was a kid, finally got one
Tidgy
sounds about right im afraid. coding is the issue not the blank :(
Theonlychoice
[emoji22] they guy at Subaru said he'd code a real key for about £60, but finding an uncut real key seems to be the problem. Buggyeye
You could try getting a key cut and swapping the transponder chip over Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
Theonlychoice
I was considering that, but could really do with a fully working spare key at home, especially when my mrs goes to work taking her keys and my keys sometimes [emoji35] Loved Scoobys since I was a kid, finally got one
Buggyeye
Hmm then by the sounds it's gonna cost then unless you can find a place that can code a key for cheap but IIRC only dealers are allowed to do it Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
Theonlychoice
Yeah, it does seem that way, i'm gonna ring around a few places and see what the best price I find is. I'll post up here if I find somewhere cheap. I was hoping one of you scooby nuts out there would have gone through all this before and have found a fantastic little locksmiths that do scooby keys for £20. No such luck ay. Cheers everyone. Tidgy
You can get spare key blanks/fob on the bay for not alot of money, it's always been the coding thats an issue. so if he can do it for £60 then might not be too bad. Timpsons can cut it for you, just not code it
