Auxiliary port

Featured Replies

Hi there. Has anyone fitted an auxiliary port to a 2003 wrx factory stereo? Saw a kit on eBay for £60 which seemed like quite an expensive way of doing it

I have a unbranded stereo in mine and paid £20 brand new for it and it's got USB Bluetooth and aux so worth a shot

Do you play cd's at all ? There are a few mech less players around these days, have a few different slots for various sd cards or sticks but no cd player

There seems to be a ton of different ways of doing it. Most seem to involve splicing into the cd wiring but you then have to play a blank cd whilst using the port otherwise it gets confused and interference

Sounds like hard work!

I'd be inclined to look for a new head unit maybe with usb/aux/I pod conectivity & dab radio as a future proofing exercise. Depends if you can be bothered really ?

Plus a aftermarket stereo will have better sound quality so you will get more out of the speakers
