Rizmo Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 My XV has the latest stop start push button ignition, rather than a key, so it has no "ACC" position. This means the radio will only work with the engine running, so no use for listening to the radio at lunch stops, etc. Anyone know of a work around for this? Other than a transistor radio on the dash, that is!!!!
green se Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 My sister in law has a premium model with keyless access/ start. If you keep your foot OFF the brake and press the start button, just like turning the key, one press seems to do nothing, second press goes to "ACC" position. 1
Rizmo Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 Brilliant! Could not find anything in the "War and Peace" sized handbook, other than a warning not to listen too long, as it would effect the Battery - so I knew it could be switched on, but not how. Will give it a try, next time I get the car out.
Jay762 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I was just putting mine in neutral with handbrake on then pressing button to kill engine but the other way will mean you dont have to start the engine
Rizmo Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 And now I have found the right part of the manual! In the latest one, it is in section 3-7, under the heading Switching Power - all fully explained!
