Hi guys I've recently bought a 08 Impreza WRX STI 330s, while experiencing its immense power and going through the rev range I've noticed it in 3rd and 4th (haven't got tried 5th and 6th) the engine stops all acceleration at 5,500 revs is this normal ? 

bit low for rev limit as standard, has it been mapped?

I'm not too sure it came with dyno readings so maybe, but im not 100% sure

Overboost? If mapped, sounds similar to what I had after mapping. Can be easily tweaked. Could have had parts fitted that allow it to overboost in which case it'll need a map

Thanks ! I've got someone local who is a JDM specialist and has dyno, I'll ask his tomorrow about it

Cant tell what gear the graph was run in, on a 6 speed it should be 4th which sugests when it was mapped it was running over 5500rpm

no probs. things like that could be a whole raft of different problems, you could do loads of things and still not fix it where as a specialist who knows them should be able to narrow it down quicker and cheaper
