Subaru Impreza Classic 1998 :)

Recommended Posts

Hey :)
She's up for sale.
As reluctant of a sale as it is, she needs to go.
I've got a Subaru Type R on deposit :D (it's a bit of a beast ;) But new thread when I've picked it up)

Quick Copy / Paste from the Advert

"Hi and welcome to my Advert.
Sadly I've got to sell my beloved Classic Subaru Impreza. I'm only selling to help fund a new Subaru project, wish I could keep both, will be sad to see her go.

Subaru Enthusiast owned, has always been my dream car for as long as I can remember!

It's a 1998' Subaru Impreza turbo 2000 UK in rare Reddish Blue.

Low mileage at 87500 miles, due to it being stored for 3 years before I had it.
I'm the second owner, first being a Policeman. We've both always warmed up and cooled down the car (something which my neighbours LOVE at 5:30am every morning!)
It has Full Service History, every 6 months within a few days, without fail. No expense spared. Just over 11k in receipts for the services alone!
HPI clear etc.
MOT till 21.01.2017

The car was fully standard when I got it, except for 16" Speedline alloys. Also genuine Subaru Impreza Fog Light Covers (hard to find!)

I'll get the not so good out the way, baring in mind it's an 18 year old car:
It has the common Subaru Piston Slap from cold, but soon goes away. This has been assured by Subaru Specialists and my own research that it wont damage or shorten the life of the engine... it's basically just a bit annoying in the cold.
The passenger side rear arch has formed a slight bit of rust, again a common Subaru "issue".
Finally there's a few age related stone chips and tiny dents which aren't really noticeable unless you're looking for them.

The GOOD!!
I've upgraded the front brakes to 4 pot WRX PRO callipers with dimple and grooved discs. (with receipts for £700)
Rear spats, side skirts and mirrors colour coded.
Flush boot lid with high rise spoiler. (I can give you the original boot lid and low spoiler if you'd prefer)
Type R front splitter, colour coded.
Crystal Headlights and Sidelights (you can choose between Crystal Clear or Crystal Black or original).
Crystal fog lights, with genuine Subaru Covers. (normal fog lights if you prefer)
STI rear lights (original if you'd prefer)
Decat Scorpion Exhaust (they made exhausts for Prodrive) I also have the original if you'd prefer. I'll give you the Cat for MOT regardless. Sounds great, not too loud and not too quiet; just right in my opinion.
Forge VTA Valve. (recirc if you prefer)
Cosworth panel filter.
Alcatek ECU mapped by Andrew Carr with switchable anti-lag, launch control, shift light and two maps (Eco map). So should be around 280bhp.
Interior is immaculate except for a few scratches. Seats etc look like new!
Clean engine bay, with blue hoses (obviously can be removed).
Last year whilst getting colour coded I had the drivers side rear arch repaired. I got a genuine donor arch (not fibreglass) to cut out the rust bubble that was starting to form. They sprayed half the rear door to blend it through, so impossible to tell.
Rear tinted windows. (can be removed)
Also has a Sigma Immobiliser.

This is a genuine, very clean, fast appreciating Classic.

Price is £3995 (price reflects condition), but open to sensible offers. Sorry, but obviously no Part Exchange.
This car is my pride and joy and has been helped and maintained by Scott / Neil at ScoobySpares and Steve / Richard at Cotton Competition.

Please no "tyre kickers" or "test pilots". I'll happily take you out in the car. People with proof of insurance to drive any car, can take it for a drive with me. But if damaged then you buy.
More photos of anything at your request. (I'm aware that the pictures show the older rear lights, due to STI lights being a new addition)
Genuine inquiries only. You can text or phone me on 07456 408 038.

Advertised elsewhere (ScoobySpares and others), so I reserve the right to remove from auction at any time.

Thank you in advance,
Chris"

There's also a "Build Thread" on here that I'm struggling to find for some reason :/
