As above where abouts is the temp sensor on a uk 2000 t reg thanks 

It's in the water cross over pipe underneath the intake manifold, if you remove the alternator you should be able to see it,

There's two one for the ecu and one for the dash display

Ok I might leave it for a bit coz it was only for another water gauge so I can keep a proper eye on it 

For aftermarket water temp gauge I think the route is to cut the top rad hose in half and stick an adapter in there that takes the sensor.

That is another way then I will have a look for the adapted then
